How low quality is First Drop?

I search bar'd, but i didn't find any threads that were directly about the quality.

Basically, my current jacket is totally fucked up and old, and i've barely worn it all season. I noticed that all the First Drop stuff is 50% off, which is a really good for a mid-season sale. So what I'm asking is; is the quality so bad that I'm going to have to buy a new jacket again?

Here's my solution to avoid buying FD.

Think of using your bed comforter/sheet as a sweatshirt.

Then think about taping it at the seams instead of sewing it and you have a rough idea of FD build quality.

Burton? I personally have North Face and it is not a really "tall" fit, but it is a great jacket for sure, super warm, super dry (20k/20k), and looks really good too. Just go to a few local shops and try stuff on, find what you like then order it online if you find a better deal

I had the original first drop and really loved it. The pants and jacket were extremely warm and the quality was actually great. I'm not sure about the current suits but I had a great experience with their original line.

My brother has a suit and has had it since November and its held up tear-free and any "stains" have washed right off. i just got a 2x hoody in mint, and its warm and super comfy. personally i think that their stuff is good, and you can't beat the prices. on another note LDC has good stuff, when their shit isn't sold out.

I have a body glove jacket and its warm as shit. if you have a big 5 sports near you check it out. its good price to quality ratio. also it has the "tall" fit. its a medium and size of an xl jiberish hoodie

my orage jacket is a medium (maybe medium tall) i'm 5' 6" and it goes to just about mid thigh
really warm, dry, mad pockets and it came with a bottle opener haha

You'd be better off flying into South Korea, visiting some of my friends, 'borrowing' their car, driving into North Korea, going into Kim's gravesite, digging up his body, taking the fur coat he is buried in off of him, taking a few pics of his penis and tweet them, driving back out of North Korea, flying back to your home, and then go skiing

Not in regards to first drop but I just bought a coat from saga. It was the JV one. It arrived to me on the 6th of december, and on the 19 while i was riding the zipper just busted right off. I was super disappointed. I had my ma sew on a new zipper which works and all but the sleeve is already starting to unravel, im pretty disappointed in the all around quality of the coat. Just thought id relay my saga experience.

Surprisingly, the best gear I've used over the years (other than Trew of course) has been Oakley. As long as you don't get the bare bones $60 range stuff, it's held up very well for me and my girly.

their stuff is totally legit!

trew is the best imo. i got my jacket 240 off retail brand new.

saga is great. just missed an awesome sale though :( 60% off

oakley and orage are quality too.

I don't know anything about first drop, but I can tell you that Oakley is terrible quality outerwear.
I have had good luck with 4square though. Good quality and nice fit.

I would say go with the established brands. These small companies don't have the money to put behind their equipment and I think it shows (aside from oakley, not sure why its so brutal)

If you can find last years moment outerwear, snag it. I rode mine bard all last year and its basically like new this year and I've already gotten about 10 ays in this year. Idk about this year bust last years is the shit and fits so fucking big, I got xxlmtall and its down to my knees in the back, about 2, 2.5 inches from my knee in the front and km 6'2"
