Blown Edge --- Risks?
I've blown a rather large section of edge (24 inches) off of my 08 Scott P3's. They're 178cm, center mounted. I'm 6ft, 170 lbs, and ski rather aggressively.
Will skiing on this blown edge pose significant risks, should I bother skiing with these skis at all?
2 feet of lost edge = death
The main concern would be that water will get in the bases and the core will rot/disintegrate/whatever. Then they'll just snap. Plus skiing without that much edge will prove to be quite difficult if you take them out of the park.
Say hello to your new urban skis... until they start getting softer, then you should probably just stop altogether.
