^Or no. Once you format it for Mac you cant use it on Windows, unless you want to erase everything and reformat.

so lets say I get an iPod and use it with my PC. Then in like a year I get a Mac. It'll just switch over?

like he said you have to reformat it. my friends who have ipods said that they can only use 1 computer to put songs onto it. you can't bring it to ur friends house and rip songs onto it there.
