Yes it does. They do not need to actually be able to roll. Imagine a ladder with rungs a little closer spaced. The rungs are PVC. PVC is fast and the rungs mean less friction. It will be fast, but you will need something different for the jump. Just remember that the pvc will probably need to be supported internally. Ex. make a ladder style drop in with thick wooden dowels and slide the pvc pipe over them before securing one side of the ladder. Or create the form of your drop in with supports that run down the fall line as opposed to horizontally and screw the pvc into these support preferably from the bottom so the screws won't mess up your skis or cause you to lose speed.
