Aight so, my birthday is comming up in a little over 2 weeks. My parents said that they'll buy me a bunch of clothes for "spring." I guess thats an excuse to buy clothes i don't know, I'm not gonna argue lol. But I want some classy looking clothes. Like nice crew necks, sweaters, jackets, etc. What are some brands that carry nice, quality clothes? I know jibberish has some classy looking crew necks and i'm likin' their style. So, got any brands post em up!
Mmmm if I was ever going to own a motor yacht I'd get a classic Burger.
And to COskier. You don't have to go to a maritime school - I thinkg its better to start at the bottom and work your way up. Work on getting your yachtmaster first, then 100 ton, 200 ton etc.
im definitly going to a maritime school so i can get a pilots liscence, but im thinking of getting my captains lisence as a minor, then i should be able to land a job quicker when they see that i have both a pilots liscence and a captains liscence and went to college for both. Also, burgers are classy, but im partial to nordhavns myself.
yeah i know that, my uncle has a 76 foot nordhavn that he said i can captain and get some experience on for a year or so after college, so that should look pretty good on a resume.
Brands don't matter much
What is important is FIT. You could buy the most expensive shit in the world and if it doesn't fit right you'll look like a clown. Focus on making sure the silhouette is correct, which means close fitting, but not tight clothes. Then make sure the patterns and designs aren't insane.
Yes, usually the more expensive brands fit better and make more quality clothing that lasts longer. And has designs that don't look stupid. But that doesn't mean if you find a shirt at Old Navy that fits well and can go with other pieces you shouldn't buy it because it's a "cheap" brand.
Agreed; however, like you said, you get what you pay for. More often than not, more expensive brands will have a better tailored fit and lie nicer on your body. With that said, sometimes you can find some nicer looking stuff for cheap. For example, you can get some nice, slim cut, dark jeans for like $30 bucks at H&M, and while they're probably not the best quality, you won't look like you bought your jeans at PacSun or Target or something. If you're looking for some good ideas for different styles with "class" (not you personally, just kind of throwing it out there) you should read a GQ magazine. Most of the stuff they feature is super expensive, but you can get an idea of what to look for and find cheaper alternatives.
