You are a legitimate moron. A cork does not HAVE to be upside down. In fact, a REAL cork is technically not upside down. But thats not to say that these days everyone doesnt call it one anyway, and i do too so im not saying that its wrong. If you go fully inverted on a cork its technically a D-spin. so next time, before you run around calling people idiots/pussys....get your facts straight.

the juxtaposition was purposeful. and you nailed it, buddy. many corks on skis ARE NOT upside down. this is a BAD thing. some people go upside down, and that's a good thing. i hope one day people start calling/doing them right.

fighting the urge to step in here, but I have to.

the word cork implies that you are not spinning upright. if youre just a little sideways, its just as much of a corked spin as a completely inverted spin.

a d-spin 720 is a really corked 720. so corked youre almost upside down. a bio 720 is a 720 corked forwards. but youre still corked. no one uses the term d-spin anymore. a cork is a cork. youre spinning while leaning either forward or backward.

the OP posted a video of a forward (very slightly corked) 1440. if someone had done it 5 years ago no one would argue it was anything different. the only skier who has ever been close to landing a triple cork is russ. both sammy's and bobby's tricks were flatspin/rodeo, not taking anything away from it though, still insanely impressive.

lets hope that clears up some of the confusion...

I completely agree with your definition and the first video that the OP posted definitely looks like a forward 1440 maybe slightly corked.

BUT, the second angle shows the trick from a much better angle that imo shows three seperate slightly off axis spins. Im just wondering if you saw the second video posted not just the original video in the header.
