Anyways, backstory:

Magnus Solheim did a pretty crazy 1440 during a sick session on the big kicker @ MegaPark 2011 in Oppdal, Norway. Right away, maybe because we were all so stoked, we though it might had been a triple cork. Then we got down from the hill, reviewed the footage, and it turned out it wasn't. At least not fully.

We're still not quite sure exactly what it is... Just a straight 14? A late cork?

We ended going with straight 7 to late wobble/dub. If he had gone in a little bit harder it probably would have been a triple.

This shot was captured by rider Felix Usterud from the knuckle, and shows the whole trick. We decided to upload it so you could all see it and decide for yourself.

Slight dip of the head and shoulder at about 1080. I'd say it was a late cork 14, very similar to some of PK's "dub" 10's that actually are closer to double wobble or just straight up late cork 10. It was cool I guess, but I don't really see what was so special about that, to be honest.

We're not claiming triple here just to set that straight. He is however quite darn close. If he had gone "harder" into it, leaned back more on the take-off, I'm pretty sure he would have had it. The way it is now is more late wobble.

Cork into double wobble? I can definitely see how this could look like a triple. Still in my mind if it's not CLEARLY a triple, it shouldn't count

in the first vid, it looked like a late dub with just barely a little wobble near the takeoff that i coulda seen why people thought it was a cork. but in the second that first wobble looked much more like a cork, but then the other two just looked like almost nothing. too close for me to call. just wondering: what did solheim think it was? a triple?

I have no idea where people are seeing the triple....I barely see a cork whatsoever. There's no distinctive drop of the head and shoulder followed by a return to the upright axis—let alone 3 times. The axis of the trick looks pretty consistent, other than in the first angle, it looks like a late cork at about 1080 for the last 360.

honestly if you can count some pros doubles (like pk's from the x games a few years back) then this is a triple.

Second angle shows the three wobbles perfectly

how could anyone conclude that this doesnt go off axis more than once, let alone 3 times...because that was definitely a triple wobble, he changed his axis 3 times for sure

this is retarded. HE DIDN'T GO UPSIDE DOWN ONCE. every time you go upside down you get a cork. so, he just spun. that's it. no corking involved. anyone who says you don't have to GO UPSIDE down for a cork is idiot/pussy.

You DO NOT go upside down during cork, you are parallel with the ground as opposed to perpendicular when upright or inverted, although i do agree that was not a triple cork, still it was sick. So hold off on calling out "idiots" and "pussys" when you don't know what a cork is.
