GOD FUCKING DAMNIT I HATE WHEN people say that. not that i mind being criticized, it is simply an extremly stupid thing to say! I mean, first of all i am 17 years old, not quite old enough to ''leave''. second of all, i/any individual might not have enough money to ''leave''. third of all, i like the idea of america and beleve that america can be ''fixed'' (becuase it is currently broken). fourth of all, the whole idea of america (he part of america i like) is acception. the idea (in therory) is that America will accept your belefs no matter what. that is how America can change and grow to become more of ''what the people what''. therefore sayign someone should leave america becuase that person doesnt like how things are going in america is a fucking idiotic thing to say.

i am not saying i would want to live there (talking about japan) but they make more money per capita then the US does. oh and i foregot one and that is Hong Kong. That is right! Hong Kong also has a higher per capita income then the usa becuase of the basically 100% free market there. it kicks ass.

Going back to the topic of people who work hard in america get a payoff, read the book or watch the play Nickel and Dime. Its about a reporter who tries to live off minimum wage jobs while finding a place to live and feeding herself properly, and she can't do it without the help of other people, despite working her ass of in two full time jobs. I would be willing to bet that a lot of low class people work just as hard as middle and upper class people, but because of the circumstances that they live in, they aren't able to easily propser. Now you could say that if someone is working minimum wage jobs, its their own fault for not getting any education, but a lot of these people are growing up in environments where they have to drop out of high school or can't afford to go to school because they have to work to help support their parents and little sisters or brothers. The whole American dream isn't as true as people often make it out to be. I bet that most people who grew up in lower class homes now have lower class families.

Well no one said its easy for everyone. Obviously some people are gonna have overcome a shitload of obsticles to achieve more than anyone in their family ever has. But, You dont need to goto highschool to make it to college. You only need to take a G.E.D test which anyone with half a brain can pass. From there they can get government assistance subsidized or unsubsidized student loans and at least get a two year degree or certification for a specialized job. From there the skies the limit. Im sure the play you watched was great though

From ealier in this thread about Japan having a higher per capita... They also have much higher taxes every year they have to have a vehicle inpection by the gov't which averages to about $500 US, plus road taxes, and on top of that food prices and consumer goods are through the roof... I've been there, I love Japan and I'd live there at the drop of a hat, but not for any political reasons.

Its very impulsive to say that, however it is indeed a brainless statement. The idea of this country is that if you don’t like something, you can lobby to change it. That how this system is meant to work. It’s good that people are standing up for something. They are just trying to make it better in their own way. At least the people that DO something about it. Their is the exception of people who don’t participate and just complain and abuse their rights as an American citizen. They can get the fuck out.

That is one of the most ignorant comments I have herd any Kerry supporter say. Actually we got rich because we have a stronger economy. We haven't had a recent war on our soil. We produce more agriculturally and industrially than any country in the world. We have more multibillion dollar corporations in America than any other country in the world. We have two coast lines for importing and exporting. We didn't get rich just because of the second world war, genius. Slowly withering away? We are still the most wealthy and powerful country in the world.

We are rich because of selling weapons over fifty years ago. That is laughable. Especially since you seem to think we sold stuff to the Nazis.

Please do get started on your view regarding the war on terror. I would love to hear what you think. Kerry was for the very war you are against. Do some research. Use your head.

^^ sure i will admit smoking has opened my eyes about the gov more. seeing how they control us more. but its not solely to smoke, its about my body and my rights.

and sure i can do it everyday and be fine, but i still have to be watching myback day in and day out. if it were just decriminalize that would be great. i just dont want that shit on my record is all im saying. sur bust me just dont write anything down. see i look at the future not at this moment. anything i do i relate to the future. hence why i quit smoking cigs. yeah sure its cool now and fun to drink and smoke cigs but in the long run whats it get me? nothing but $4 a pack outta my wallet a day to keep the habit of smoking.

who cares how much money our country has, it does us no good if we aint got shit to spend it on. who cares if we have the most corporations thats not proving anything but we are greedy little fucks that only care about money.

money money money i can see thats all you care about.

and yes i have lived in endlgand and canada, and i would gladly go back if it werent for extremidies here. i have a girl, soon to be wife, which needs me here. i have college to attend at UC, which i have 2 years completed and 3 moere togo, i cant just leave in the middle. i have a sick mom, when needs support from us the family, i have a carrer started already even before i have a degree, once im done with college i will have my bachlors and a job already. only thing my pay will be hella higher.

so i cant just leave, YET, i will once things settle down, outta collge and same with the wife. i just dont want to be educated at a canadian level. but i will be moving outta here later on in life. seeing as if things dont start to change, which i feel they will sooner or later here. its just a matter of time until people like me (our generation) get into office. we have a differnt way at looking at things and that a proven fact. we will revolutionize this country to the max, and i cant wait.

As a democracy, if you dont like whats going on, then vote against it. Its simple, and with enough support you can change it to accomodate. However, whoever does say that is so blinded by ignorant nationalism that they dont even know WHY the United States is actually a great country. It is because they do have democracy, they do have freedom. Hypocrisy anyone? Actually no, i call it just plain idiocy.

as though there is not one side effect to smoking all that bud. well you forget things, like how you've forgotten how much a bag of weed costs compared to cigs. $4 is lookin mighty nice now. however im not one to preach about weed in plitical debate. i'll leave that to you d-loc. tell all of us stoners why weed is so amazing, none of us have ever smoked it or anything.

^^^ yeah what a bag runs me like 275 max and that can last me easily for 2 months. now $4 a pack X 60 = 240... ok so for about the same price i can actually get high for a few hrs and not just smoke somtehing that indefinately gonna kill me, cigs. and thats the steep end it usually cheaper, right now... harvest season im getting it all free from my buddies WEEEE. super silver haze X blueberrys, cherry cough, ak-47, and some sweet tooth DAMN THAT SHITS GOOD
