Looking for advice....

So... taking a poll here...
My ex boyfriend upon me breaking up with him decided that he didn't want ANYTHING that I'd given him over the 5 years we were together, which includes a pair of '07 Seths and a pair of '08 ARGs that I gave as Christmas presents. I have held them at my place for a month, and given him the option to pick them up if he changed his mind....but it seems to me that a month is plenty of time to decide you want to go skiing regardless of the purchaser of your skis.

Do I
a)keep holding on to them
b)give them to deserving friends on a loan basis
c)give them to derserving friends for keeps
d)sell them

What are your thoughts?

You fucked up hard for him to not even want to see you for long enough to get $2000 worth of ski gear back. Give him back the skis. You owe it to him to give him the skis back. Giving them to anybody but him is sleazy.

He did see this thread, and still doesn't want the skis because the girl is a hoe (according to the story). Whoever gets them should sell them and Paypal the guy the money.

Now, who said anything about it being the truth? He is an angry lying son of a bitch who is sad that I broke up with him after a year of him being a dick (not to mention useless, I paid his bills/rent for months while he sat on his ass moping about life or whatever). I gave him ample opportunity and friendly messages to claim them, he doesn't want them, so that's his loss.
 
I chose to be the big girl and not air out my false dirty laundry. Who's the bigger person in the end? I would say me for sure.

lol all these ppl just want those skis and hope you sell for a redic low price.

keep em and ski em. its fun to change up what ur riding, extra skis is always good. and loan them to friends would be an awesome gig for both u and ur friends.

Exactly, nailed it. Additionally, there are two sides to every story, I never posted my side, but as I am not a member of Ladies Men I would be curious to see what he may have fabricated about me? Honestly it's amusing at this point, and it's relieving-proof that I made the right decision to leave someone like that and move on. Plus now one of my friends or an NS'er can enjoy these skis :-)

Everyone is allowed to form their own opinion. Again, I don't air out my dirty laundry, and I don't care about what people decide to think about it. My intention wasn't to share the gory details of a breakup to NS, but merely to seek advice regarding two pairs of skis given back to me. And I got lots of opinions and offers, which is helpful, so mission accomplished.

keep them till the end of the season and if he still feels the same way about the skis then sell them or let friends have them. 5 year relationships are intense, who knows, you might get back together and if you do then it will be awkward if you sold the skis prematurely

Am I? I was totally unaware of that. Wait...checking memory bank....Nope. I've never cheated on anyone in my life. Must be thinking of someone else. Or there is an evil twin out there, or I have multiple personality disorder with concurrent amnesia, or... oh no, that only happens in movies. So yes, I've never slept with someone else while dating someone, and I've never been paid for my "services".

you want to know the ethics of it? breaks up suck. if i had to choose the fastest way i knew how to get rid of skis i'd pick ns. however, if my ex was on ns, i might not pick ns, and i'd probably try to get them back to him, and give him no option. unless of course, he was the cheating whore, then i would probably shove it up his ass. however not the case.

look you guys hate each other, and i don't fucking care why. but get over it. go give him his skis, and you guys can both shut up about it. you both failed at your relationship, and now it's time to learn from your mistakes, morn the time you think you wasted, and go bang someone hotter than your ex.
