Alright so for the last few months I've been working on a website that is intended to be a mix of digg and hypem but strictly for rap/hip-hop.

Thanks for the support! If you plan on keeping up with the site in some fashion itd be dope if you liked it on facebook. Anyone got an idea to improve the site? Im trying to brainstorm ideas to make the sidebar more useful.

Yeah, it'll always be the last thing to load which sucks, but that's just the way it has to be.

Which brings me to another question, how are load times for you guys? It's usually pretty quick for me, but I've had a complaint here and there.

My man! That's dope dude, I'm trying to get it some more exposure over here at my college. Now that it's warm I think I'm gonna hit tha streets.Maybe throw up some flyers and chalk up the sidewalks, hopefully it goes well!

I simplified the layout quite a bit this week, it now loads a lot faster and loads 50 posts per page which is nice. If you check it out and have any feedback lemme know!

This is so legit I love it, already liked on FB and I will spread the word. This is basically my replacement to thesixtyone.com which for some reason decided to make some changes that made the site spiral into nothingness.

Keep it up! Stick with what works and what people love. Don't do what www.thesixtyone.com did

Yeah I've been trying to think of a good way to make the play button more obvious. The problem is I can't increase its size because I use the yahoo media player which has limits on what you can customize. I'm thinking about just putting a little image at the top that explains some things, but if someone has a better suggestion that would be dope!

As far as changing things the site has finally evolved into pretty much what my initial vision of it was, so don't expect any wild changes ala thesixtyone.

I am thinking about changing the hype button into something people understand better because some people don't seem to get the concept and it's pretty key to the sites functionality.

I got the hype button right away, thats just me though. Maybe if you put a "pause" button right next to the play it will make it easier to see and understand, don't know if you can do that though

Honestly I would love to have a 5-7 letter domain name that would be semi-relevant and catchy but alas I haven't come up with one.

And thanks for the suggestions General Ripper, Im gonna do some experimenting and maybe I'll ask you guys for some feedback if I move/change the play button
