1st off I would definitely get the maestro. It's lower to the ground so not only will it be easier to push when commuting, but also easier to slide. Its much closer to being symmetric then the strike is, so it will again be better for slides and shov its too. The only thing thats not symmetric on it is the concave. At 150 its a tough choice between the 8 ply and 7 ply. With the 7 ply it will be nice and flexy and fun to carve, but you might bottom out on tricks that send you and/or your board into the air. If you wanna be safe and are willing to sacrifice the flex get the 8 ply, but personally I would get the 7. Top it off with some paris or randall trucks and some purple otang stims or blue bocas.
