Why do pros have no love for Tahoe?

It has rediculous BC with easy access
It has the most stable snowpack in the continental US

It gets 300 days of bluebird a year
The scenery w/ the lake is gorgeous
450+ inches of snow per year

Has world class resorts
Gets tons of snow
The sierras are a MASSIVE mountain range w/ the highest mtn in the lower 48

Snowboarders have tahoe in movies all the time
pro snowboarders call tahoe home
Tahoe has a surprisingly large amount of good urban spots

It just seems like tahoe is super conducive to filming but it is never featured in pro ski flicks. but in snowboard flicks it is prominently featured. Any reason for this?

Up until recently, we also had Shane and CR, and Arne Backstrom... RIP

there are no PARK pros in tahoe besides David Wise. thats why people think tahoe is overlooked.

He wants "real pros". Those are as real as they get... Tom Wallisch is a good park skier, but he doesn't come anywhere near Shane's level. Very few park pros can compare... and they are usually not park pros after they start skiing more big mountain

the gaffneys arent pros anymore, and kc deane isnt a "real pro"

i am fully aware of the talent pool in tahoe, and the locals shred and compete well on the world tours, but there are almost no film stars, or commercially popular pros.

Pro's have love for tahoe...and there are movies filmed here....and a good amount of pro's....there's not many park skiing pros....but who cares?...park is weak....so...Pros DO have love for Tahoe, Its not like they look at Tahoe and say, "fuck that place, fucking sucks, I hate it, lets never ski there or film movies there"

/thread? I mean...you can't say a statement like "Why do pros have no love for Tahoe"....its just not true at all...And there is already a big enough cluster fuck scene here, with hour long lines at KT and bumper to bumper traffic on 80 and around the lake....so STAY OUT of tahoe, please...it doesn't need anymore people....

Shane, CR, Ingrid, JT, Jeremy Jones, Travis Kennedy, Torenstien (trains at N*), Glen Plake, Skogen....pretty commercial names if you ask me...There are also lots of not as big names such as Wilson, Sean Fields, ect....and even more that I can't think of off the top of my head...

the only down side in the sierra cement
but go hit the park if so.
