Which bindings to buy?

ok... I wanna buy my first skis plus bindings etc.....
my first question is which bindings do u suggest me? I am 6"1 and 154 pounds... prefering park/jumps.... not going big but I still dont want my bindings to brake when trying bigger jumps.... my budget is 200 Euros (price in $ is the same I guess)
second question: what kind of data do I have to look at so that my bindings fit the skis?.... is the some size or smth?
last question: according to my weight, how hard do I have to set my bindings that my skis fall off at the right moment?

I would suggest going to a ski shop and have the employees suggest a binding for you since you seem to lack knowledge on bindings.

That being said:
Salomon STH 12 or Rossignol FKS 14
The width of the binding brake should be as wide as your skis but you can bend the binding break
The shop you have your bindings mounted will take your weight, height, and ski level to set your din

What level of skier are you? What's the sole length on your boots? what type of skis do you have?

I like the park... beginner but learning very fast.... I guess soon i ll be able to do 720 and stuff easily...

buy marker jesters, or the more expensive ones, i wouldnt trust anything else, solomons blow dick, so do rossis, never tried lines.

I can get salomon sth 12,14,16 for almost the same price...so get the 16 because they are better? or do they not fit me?.... dont have to much money though

there is only two sizes basically, junior, and senior, seeing as you are old enough to be free on the internet i assume you are senior size. DONT buy juniors.

Don't buy jesters I have seen several heel piece pull outs. Salomon sth 14 drivers would be great bindings for you or the Rossignol fks 14. You should make sure the binding has a 90 mm break but those bindings will already come with one.

jesters are the only bindings i have ever owned that havent broken, or bent the brakes, etc.

I've had Jesters on my AR6s since 07-08 and I have had no issues with them at all. Maybe I'm just lucky, because I ski pretty hard and I have a bad habit of landing way forward on switch landings sometimes.

Well I have had a friend with them for three years too and his are fine.. but after seeing several pull outs this season I would suggest against buying it. To be honest though I have seen every binding break so it really just comes down to luck.

if they laste him 3 seasons so far thats pretty good, id say its a point toward buying them over others, to be honest i have never heard of any major issues with the jester, i think its your best option

rossi freeski2 14s are good, and they're cheaper than all the other good bindings

fks are just about the best, super expensive

I personally have liked markers but I have heard a lot of issues with the griffons this year breaking and the jesters pulling out.  I kinda feel like the pulls outs happen because of all the kids that truly believe that if your a self-respecting skiier you will run your bindings up to the highest din (16 for jesters) and then since your clamped down so damn tight the heel just pulls out.  That still shouldnt happen but whatever its still straight retarded that everyone thinks your a pussy if your not at 16.  People are going to argue both ways but I say salomon STH14 drivers. never heard a singe bad thing about em.

and I gotta apologize... I realized that I used the wrong thread :/...... decided to buy salomon sth 14.... I think I wont ever need 16 dins.. but hated to rent skis with crappy bindings this year.. they were set 7 and fell of several times when braking sideways and when jumping off a three yard cliff and one time jumping a lil higher one time.....

do not get the jester when the griffon is almost the same thing just not as high of a din and you can get it for probably 30 dollars cheaper.

wrong, griffon is made out of a different and shittier material that just cracks and breaks. Happened to me and its been 5 weeks and still not fixed.
