New life- Hellbent- EP pro

so im wondering how they all compare in flex and rocker profile
oh and i mean the older 122 underfoot hellbents

New lifes are more solid and stiffer. I have them and I have a friend with the old hellbents. The rocker is pretty close other than that.

Im not too sure about the EP pros but everytime ive felt them they feel really soft.

New Lifes are much stiffer than both HB and EP, They are also lighter than the HB and (probably) the EP.
EPs are the softest, but I think they do much better on groomed than the Hellbent thanks to the early taper, which also makes them less hooky in pow. Rocker on the EP and Hellbent is huge and pretty similar. New Life is slightly mellower but they still have more than enough.

I own the NL and have used last year's Bents. The rocker is essentially the same on both, although the NL rocker is a little more abrupt. The NL is a lot stiffer throughout the tips and tails, making em wayy better on hard and choppy snow. The NL is also a lot lighter. Overall, they're equally poppy, surfy, and fun. Don't think you could go wrong with either.

^^i wouldn't judge a ski on its weight unless you're gonna be hiking/skinning on them....

EPP == big fun noodle ski thats super fun all over the mountain but needs to be ridden a bit more careful in variable conditions due to the softness ... on ice the epp just gets scary, you'll feel like you're going to die once the tips start to shatter

NL = don't know much about it except that its better suited for all-round skiing and charging, so itll definately out-perform the epp in crud/ice..

so ask yourself how you ski and where you ski ..
if you often get powder and good snow and you're more of a "jibbing" skier the EPP is suited for you
if you have more variable snow, crud, icepatches, etc... and you like to charge a bit more the NL might be better for you ...

EPPs feel a lot lighter than HellBents. Also better on hardpack.

EPPs are a lot lighter as far as I remember from seeing some independent weight numbers in a test in norwegian mag Fri Flyt..

okay thanks to all and k+ im going to be using them in trees and in the park a bit maybe but more of a little bit of powder ski that can handle the whole mountain

To be honest I'd look elsewhere then. I'm gonna recommend Line Sir Francis Bacons. Way more versatile than EPPs.

NL would be perfect then. I use mine in all conditions and always have fun

Look at Pollard's pro model for next year. The skis you mentioned are not great all mountain skis. They didn't have the EP Pro at SIA, they had a different pro model that was mor akin to the Rossi S7, Atomic Blog, etc. I think it was called Mr. Polalrd's Opus or something like that. The Bacon's for next year are also skinnier I think.

You could also look at the 4frnt CRJ's. I have them and I ride them in pretty much all conditions unless I'm skiing park the entire day or skiing bumps with my parents all day.

i know you said you already ruled out the hellbents, but i have two pairs of them (122 waist) and i use them year round. they are great skis, and have held an edge all year for me. very playful and fun, and can charge when you need them to as well. somebody above said to consider pollard's opus ski for next year. i think that is a good idea too, it is supposed to be narrower and stiffer than the EP, which would probably be better for all mountain than the EP. i would also recommend looking into the kung fujas. i have had a pair of those in the past and they kill it everywhere. i loved them. they float and they are good in both park and all mountain.

thanks to everyone again and k+ but im really just looking for something that is wide noodley and fun
in the end it will come down to cost
