How much can cost a roadtrip?

So nothing is serious but me, my cousin and probably like 1 or 2 other person would do a roadtrip next winter.. So how much can cost a roadtrip from Quebec, Canada to Utah,USA or British Colombia, Canada.

The roadtrip can be like 1 or 2 week! We want to ski some deep powder!

Do I forgot something?

Cheapest way to do this: Sleep in car. Eat at Taco Bell. Hike to all your BC spots. DO NOT BUY LIFT TICKETS.

it all depends. if u are gonna sleep in a hotel, what deals you get on lift tickets and what car your using. plus what kinda food u gonna eat. Its kinda hard to give you a price if we dont know how your style is and what your exactly doing.

Drive an economical car(smaller so gas is cheaper), tag team hotel rooms or sleep in the car, bring your own food and make sandwiches and stuff. Hunt for deals on lift tickets.

were you drunk when you wrote this??? haha jk, but a road trip is expensive as shit if you dont have a car that gets close to 30mpg. we drove 17hrs in my jeep and it cost over $700 in gas alone. Not to mention food, lift tickets, beer you know the necessities...

Amen, especially when the kid straight up says he'll be traveling from quebec. Kind of a no brainer that this kids first language is not english.

Good on him for trying, I couldn't get that much out in any other language.

well, this reply will not be about languages.

From where you're at, and to where you want to go, that is a whole lot of driving. I've never done that big of a trip, but I went down to Nelson and Rossland last January with my friend. We left from Golden, BC. Costed about 120 for gas round trip. Can't remember prices on lodging. Stay in hostels though if you can. Pretty cheap, around 20 a night. Buy groceries, it's cheaper than eating somewhere. If you know anyone in the area that you want to go to, stay with them if you can. And yea, can't think of much else.

Your main concern is getting money for gas, since that is a lot of driving for you.

And Yes, we will try to sleep in the car or in cheap motels, we'll have a grocery store instead of eating in restaurant. The vehicle that we will take Is a Smart, No But Seriously, a small car like a Toyota Corolla or something like that. An other problem we have is that just 1 person can drive because the 2 other don't have a driver license.. or can only drive with a person who have more than 2 years is real driver license..

And the final problem, where to live in BC? In a cottage, an ppartment?

Ill be serious here.

A 1 way trip to the opposite coast will be approx 4-5 days long, alone. Approximately $500 in gas, one way, and food along the way.

Once you're there you have to think about accomodation.
If you're in whistler, youre looking at about $150/person/night.

than if you party, consider about $80/night

eating in whistler is about $25/day as well

any other activities, you figure out the price and add it




THEN, calculate it all again to find out how much to get back

hey les dudes tous depend de ou et de quoi tu veux faire sur ton trip, mais à 3 ou 4 tu dois avoir 400 $ et plus par semaine, so for the guys that have the 3rd grade english or no french grade at all , they just wanted to know costs for a 2 to 3 week road trip go have a nice ski trip ok

the main obvious things to take into consideration

food- way cheaper to buy food at a grocery store than to eat at restaurants or buy gas station food
gas- mapquest will calculate fuel cost if you can't do it yourself
where youre gonna sleep- may be free if you camp or bum or check couchsurfing.com
misc- throw in an extra couple hundred cause you'll probably spend it

Dude nous on veut partir bientot pour revelstoke en char, pi on a regarder sur kijiji pour le logement. on a trouver un Board and Share pour le 2 dans une chambre sa nous coute 1000 par mois avec la bouffe inclus cest juste quil faut partager la maison avec le proprio mais on s'en fou...
C'est des deals comme sa quil faut trouver, faut surtout pas dormir dans des hotels ou motels sinon ton cash va littéralement fondre!

Pourquoi tu irais pas aux Chics-Chocs, tu peux trouver des chalets pour 400$ pour la semaine pas loin pis il parait que la neige est incroyable. J'étais censé y aller dans 2 jours mais à cause des inondations, on a reporté à plus tard.
