I updated to the newest version of iTunes a couples days ago and hadn't synced my iPod to it yet. I just bought my friends first gen touch and plugged it in to my laptop, itunes was running and then closed by itself. Now when I click it an hourglass shows up for about 2-3 seconds and then nothing. I've tried reinstalling, restarting my computer, checking for viruses... I plugged the iPod in to my home pc and it worked fine. Does anybody know what to do?

but srsly google i had something like that happen before where i updated itunes and it just shit itself
wouldn't open, couldn't do anything
just google it and you'll find answers on tech forums or something

I figured it out after about an hour of excessive googling and trying just about everything. It always seems like when I get something new and exciting something has to go and fuck it up. Oh well, works now. +k to everybody who tried to help.

Ask your friend to restore it on his computer (restore resets it, puts the ipod back into factory settings). Then try it on your computer

if that doesnt work i would call up apple and ask to make an appointment at the genius counter, they know how to fix everything
