I will never support salomon

I dont know if any of you saw Charles Gagnier at the dew tour, but did, and after 12 years of salomon supporting him and sponsoring him they drop him from the team. Not only is he in dew tour/ X games, but he had a killer urban segment in the new PBP movie. Now Charle is riding 5 year old SPK skis with the target on them, and still killing it. Im all for supporting the next generation of riders but the nerve to cut a legend, is going to far.

P.S. this isn't the first time salomon has don this i.e. CR R.I.P

maybe there was a reason behind their decision to drop him

i.e. he wasn't cooperating, he's changing sponsors, he's not into skiing like he once was?

i have no idea, im just saying, there was probably a good reason for why this happened

Charles is one of the most creative skiers out there no doubt. However, he's following a different path now : he's not into doubles, he's throwing weird tricks like rodeo 5 pretzel 1, new grabs, caribou stance, etc. plus he's not doing good on the contest scene.

I think what he's doing is pretty cool but my guess is that it doesn't reflect Salomon's vision of skiing and that's why they dropped him.

why dont people realize that these companies arent alive just to support their athletes, they are all fucking businesses. sure it sucks for charles, ive always liked him, but if hes not competing like he used to and getting minimal filming, he doesnt make sense financially to have on the team.

Salomon, definitely does sell have all shit product. I wore the same SPKs for 3 seasons straight and now my friend is using them. I got newer Kaos boots this year and love them. I can name 5 people off the top of my head that own a Salomon park boot and love them. Go back to Jersey Snook

You can't boycott a company because they no longer sponsor a certain favorite athlete of yours. You don't know the backround story to why he got dropped. Pretty sure none of us do. Could be contract complications and such. Plus charles isn't really doing much besides filming. I can't remember the last comp he was in.

I feel like dropping an athlete shouldn't make you hate them. Raping your mother would be an acceptable reason to hate them. Also, a legend is probably okay money wise.

back when salomon made good skis.. i still have a pair of those spks with the red target thingys... use em for urban. charle is a beast sucks he got dropped out unless eh wanted to cause maybe hes looking in to something else who knows.

don't be so image conscious,
i;ve been skiing on a pair of czars for three years and they're awesome, and a pair of 2012s this season, and they're super fun. so far no issues with durability on either

i heard he got offered a real shitty contract by salomon, which he rightfully did not accept. i agree he's not killing it on the comp scene too much, but he's still one of the biggest innovators in park skiing, octo grabs, one footers etc, and i doubt he's finished lets hope for a comeback year
