Dear NS just wanted to share this with you guys. I was skiing some little trees and caught an edge and was thrown headfirst into a thick juniper. Here's the aftermath. The crack went all the way through to the foam too.
So NSer's, please wear your buckets! You never know what's gonna happen.
Stay safe, and happy holidays!
I drop bombs like Hiroshima
Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
Winston Churchill: And you, madam, are ugly. But in the morning, I shall be sober.
My friend hit a tree around this time last year while wearing a helmet. He suffered brain damage and had a bad concussion that he still is dealing with a year later. Pretty sure he would have died if he hadn't been wearing one, it's gnarly.
Jib life- sure- next thing you know skiers will be doing triples and a black guy will be president
Mouth guards are actually much better for a crash like this, if you're not hitting your head on ice that is. Wear a helmet and a mouth guard if you can and you are almost guaranteed a brain injury free season!
The helmet is a must. I'm still nursing a stitched up lip too, so wear your mouth guards when you send it! You don't realize what your teeth are up to until you bite yourself. It hurts so much to eat which SUCKS when you go home and can't enjoy Mom's cooking,
