I am planning on moving somewhere for a couple months to spend half my time skiing and half my time working in a resort town. Luckily i can work wherever i go. I was wondering what people think where would be the best place to go this season. Preferably within 10 hrs of vegas, but if not thats cool. Preferably pow. and preferably good night life. Planning on leaving in january.
i play poker for a living so being near vegas has its perks for obvious reasons.. but being within 10hrs there are tons of options.. but like i said that doesnt matter all that much. I could be interested in the house. But i dont need all that much space for such a short period.
Come chill in our A frame at the Pass. No Night Life lots of Dudes and the skiing sucks!
However if you Chill South Lake Tahoe you are basically in Nevada... there are Casinos everywhere and you can Shred Heavenly, Northstar and Sierra on one pass for pretty cheap.
alright, well that makes sense than. SLC isn't to far of a drive down to Vegas. Just straight down the interstate. Mammoth would be the closest. Tahoe is a bit further, but still within the 10 hour range. According to Google Maps, it's around 11 hours from Summit County (but I don't get why people would want to live in the mountains and ski park). The San Juan Mountains are closer to Vegas, and as far as I'm concerned, has way better skiing.
On thing thats nice about SLC is you can get a flight to vegas for like 80 bucks one way, same with denver (if you wanted to live in CO). always something to think about.
Live in Las Vegas and go to the local resort 40 mintues away. 89 inch base right now and back country gates that can compete with any resort that isn't monstrous.
