Pray For This 15-Year-Old Girl

This really touch my heart and I feel bad what this girl is going through every day of her life. Here the Description:
"I got this idea from another video , and it inspired me. I don’t write blogs and make videos for attention. I do it to let it out. I hate bottling up things inside of me. And i also think its a great way to let everyone know how serious and heart braking this disease is. For the people that all think this a joke. go to hell. you have no idea how strong and painful this is for me and my family. there is no cure. I didn’t ask for this to happen to me and my family. No one wants this . NO ONE. To just sit there and watch your mom die on the inside is nothing to laugh at or make fun of. My brother and i are alone. No one understands us. we wish we both knew other people our age that we can talk to about this, but there’s no one. All we can do is pray for a cure . www.alz.org. " - Brittany

my granddad passed away from this... it was always his job to pick up the sticks in our yard before mom cut the grass we tried to keep him fit and active for his own well being and one day she went out and he wasn't there so she assumed he was done and went back inside about an hour later when she was done she came in and he wasn't there she called the police and reported a missing person and he was found about 2 miles from our house a neighbor found him walking down the street with a bag of sticks when they asked what he was doing he responded picking up sticks its my job they said well come inside and you can take a break he refused to go in so they replied well our backyard is full of sticks how about you come help us pick them up well the neighbors called the police and we went to meet the people that had coaxed him into the backyard he recently passed away and shared this with you just so you could know how serious it is by the worst part of his Alzheimer's he didn't know my name or where he was he didn't know what he should eat with his fingers or what to use a fork for... i feel for this girl and many others and i realise most people won't read this but for those of you that do just think about it and what some people go through

I don't know anything about alz but my grandma had dimentia for the last 6 months before she passed away and it was awful, I' m sure its a lot harder for this girl though.

Fuckin disgusting.

But anyways my dad's dad had alz when he was in 7th grade, doctors put him in a nursing home. In 8th grade he stop visiting him cause he couldn't take it anymore and he died a few months later leaving a wife with 5 kids to raise, sad stuff.

My grandpa had it it too, he use to make the best pies :)

even though i have already posted on this about how hot she is, i think i need to go even and post something positive as i feel a bit heartless.. must be even harder for her as her mum mustn't even be that old, my friends uncle has it and he says its horrible and he doesn't even know who he is anymore.. vibes+

My Grandma has alzheimers, such a sad thing to see someone so close to you deteriorate.
It can't be cured, but it can be slowed with the right meds and a by keeping their brain active.
My grandmas has gotten to the point she can't speak half the time because she doesn't remember how to say what she wants to say, but every now and again she can write the answers to things.

actually Alzheimer disease is fairly common and many of you will experience knowing someone with it who is close to you.

Perhaps not at 15 with their mothers but still, very similar situations.

and come on, she is a cutie. she clearly knows it and is using to help spread awareness for the cause so, whatever.

its cuz its a cute video, but addresses alz in a way many people/teens will see it. it is a cute white chick (id tap dat) and hearing her story, its crazy cuz she could go to my school, she could might as well be my sister. hearing it from a more close to home angle, its different and thts why he posted it i guess.

yea, i know its fairly common..

but what you said, not growing up with a mom who has it..

some of the comments just really pissed me off about praying and what not. just cuz you dont believe it doesnt mean you have to make dumb comments about it when obviously the point of the video is about awareness for alzheimers and for her to do something to let out her thoughts, etc..

i agree she's cute. but there's a time and place for comments like, "i'd tap that". and i feel like this is not the place for it. cant people have some respect for other people and their situations?

haha the immaturity in this thread is ridiculous. if you dont believe in God congradulations, its your belief and i respect it, but coming into a thread that really doesnt have a thing to do with religion and calling out peoples beliefs shows how insecure you are in your beliefs. Lol. It's funny because it has been proven that prayer does nothing ololol. Get Christ's dick out of your mouth, Jesus. See the reason people get mad when they are asked to pray for something is because it's like being told to sit on your ass and do nothing. Asking people to donate to the cause would go down much easier and actually be helpful. It's not about insecurity, it's about people choosing wishful thinking over action that pisses nonreligious or even realistic religious people off. Insecure is the person that feels the need to tell everyone how insecure they are after they insult your cute lil religion.

My granddad has alz and it's at the same time funny and sad, to think that such a person, who was always so well-ordained, a highly decorated and ranked army officer, an olympic athlete who kept in great shape until his 80's... would just deteriorate like that and search for words like bread, water, cold, hot... The funny thing in this is that it could also be my future.

I suggest a book called "The Wilderness" by Samantha Harvey, a very authentic-feeling look into what it could feel like sinking down and deeper down - then forgetting even that.


...but she is fucking hot though for a 15-year-old, no doubt about.

No, actually people PRAY and that's not the wisest course of action, as it accomplishes nothing and only brings a false sense of both security and accomplishment, as ignorant people may see it as a good deed of the day to "pray" for some random folk. Although the religious discussion isn't really fit for this thread, as one of the first posters said, fuck praying and go donate, help out at your community centre (or whatever you have) to find out ways to help others.

im definately not saying pray and dont do anything else, but why do you have such a problem with people saying they will pray for something? its not hurting you so stop mocking it... If you look at how much money religious organizations raise for things like this you will see that they arent just "praying". Im in college right now in biomedical engineering doing research on neurological diseases such as alz so id say im doing a hell of a lot more than you are, and yes i will continue to pray on top of it, it certainly cant hurt if i am wrong about all of it
