ok, good mini dv-camcorder,perferabley 3 ccd's, I'd recomned either a sony trv900 or a cannon gl1, I have a sony and i got it for $1650 u.s., or if u have less $ you can go with a cheap digital 8, sony's cheapest model is aprox $600, but again mini dv and esp. 3 chipers will give you the best image. After u get the camcorder, hook yourself up with a computer editing system. The easiset thing would be to go out and buy a new computer either sony or mac dv. They already have a firewire card and editing software. Where this is not an option or u have a good computer (I recomned at least 30 GB hard drive perferably 50) go out and get a firewire card, pinnicale makes one called 'studio dv' it costs $99. It comes with basic software, which can always be upgraded. Once you have everything put together u'll be able to make and edit movies like a pro. If u have any more questons message me.
once u have a camera, work on your filming, as far as stability, creativeness and general quality then get a nice editing program and learn it (you'll need to if you ever want to take it somewhere) i'd recommend Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier and practice, make short movies all the time, leanr how to edit to the music listen to the beat and the rhythm and think about how your footage will go wit it
