Best editing system for a pc.

Aight so heres the deal. I have sony vegas pro 7. And its just not cutting it. Sure its mad easy to use but it doesnt have many features IMO. I have heard that Adobe premier is good. But I haven't used it. So can i have some opinions on both programs?

If I wasn't using FCP on a mac, Id switch to premiere pro, the logical alternative.

premiere pro, Mpeg streamclip for compressing (not sure how premiere pro performs in this aspect), after effects if you wanna get real jiggy with it. That combination would more than suffice.

I edit on final cut pro now, but honestly I loved Vegas when I used it (aside from it being extremely error prone). I'm not sure what "features" you want out of an editing program, but chances are Vegas has it. What are you trying to do exactly?

i use to use vegas pro 8, but switched over to premiere pro cs4, and its a lot better, takes a little time to get use to compared to vegas, but it has a lot more features.

definitely switch over if you can.

i can def switch over...but to be quite honest im bored with vegas...i will keep it on my computer if i switch over. Can i have a link to a torrent and reg. code?
