yea and rubbing snow or water through just increases it, it sucks balls. I just take my beanie or helment off on the lift occasionally and it helps a whole lot, because you wont be thinking about it while riding

washing it before you go usually helps. but its all the same. it doesn't really get itchy for me until i take my hat off after i've had it on all day. so i usually just don't take it off. maybe get a different material hat if its a big issue?

I get an itchy head sometime but usually doesn't really bother me. But taking off your helmet/beanie at the end of the day and rubbing your head is one of the best feeling things in the world.
