First PA mountain opens!

Everyone in PA this was big Boulder's status a few minutes ago:

big boulder PARK
Ohh man, were making snow again.

If I were you I would get my canned food out, make sure it's not out dated, go over my gear, and go to bigboulderPARK.com in the mourning to see what I'm gonna be doing for the day.

The scientists feel pretty good about this, we looked at all there calculations...... A lot of big numbers.

They say that's good. But all we know is were stoked.

anyone know when bear creek, blue, or camelback opens? and how they generally are for opening day? i go to college in pa now and those are my closest mountains so just trying to get some info

blue announced dec 10th (next friday). they've been blowing alot and from what I saw have pretty decent coverage on mainstreet, midway, cum around, and vista. they always open with the most terrain so it takes them a while, as long as weather holds which it should 10th will be the day.

cbk I heard may be open friday...if not then next week. im 90% positive they will open with their preseason tubing park.

bear creek will probably never open, and when they do, it will be complete shit all year most likely. if you want to be put in a bad mood then I suggest a day at bear.

haven't been to a PA opening in 2 years...but blue always opens with their park on come around. nothing fancy, just a couple boxes and rails and usually some type of stupid circus jib. they have a legit park manager this year though so I'm expecting to see something cool.

cbk 2 years ago opened with a pretty dece setup, bunch of rails and a small jump that was pretty fun to dick around on.

as far as "preseason" goes in PA, boulder hands down puts out the best setup, IMO. who knows what will happen this year though, lots of other mountains are starting to seriously step up. I have a pass at blue but I spend at least 1 day a week in december at boulder.

stoked that it is opening but deff not going today. Went the past two years to opening day at Boulder and it was atleast 30 minutes of waiting to get on the lift to go down one slope. The only slope they have open is packed and have to wait like 5 minutes to hit a rail. Ill probably head up sometime after school this week.

That is definitely not true.
When I went last year, the whole night there were no lines for the lifts, and no waiting to hit a feature.

Actually, in my opinion bear creek is the best of the local hills in terms of park, with camelback at a close second. however i dont know if I am allowed to ski there anymore.

Not much, just doing the walk around, she pointed out the windows and said something like " This is our upstairs balcony that overlooks the pool, don't get any ideas about jumping into the pool from here as it's been tried and didn't end well for that person. Something vague like that.

are you fucking serious? ive been to bc many times mid season and thought it was march. their climate just blows. the snow is like sand...bare spots everywhere. I give them an A for effort but there just isn't much that can be done. combine that with the always common shitshow of people in jeans and their mullet children all over the park that place is fucking unskiable. best park in PA? absolutely not.

first off that place is fucking sick. i have never had a bad day at bear and for you to be saying that shit is ridiculous. they have a decent assortment of rails that are usually well set up and when the conditions are right their jump line is sick
