nah, no cables. it was chicken wire. he was gonna nut it but shifted his weight to the wrong side of the bridge and his ski tip went into the chicken wire which made him flip over and swing like that. we had set up the bridge to shoot it in the late aternoon and since it was my idea, crichton and buchar made me do it first, then buchar gave it a few tries and didn't make it, so crichton stepped up and ended up doing that. i was standing at the top of the inrun shitting myself and i flew down expecting him to be dead, but instead he was just like 'fuck me that was a bad fall' luckily he was ok, just bit his tongue and tweaked his ankle and was a little sore. he fell about 20 feet and his boots broke through the ice in the river when he hit it. pretty fucked up if you ask me.

yeah, only when they did it they had a bunch of soft mats on scaffolding so they could fall off on the river side and only fall like 7 feet to a mat. we just did it, fuck the mats, although looking back, crichton would have appreciated them hahahaha

he has alot more jump/backcountry/pipe footage now, but when he was putting the teaser together he had way more rails. the movie will have a better balance, but the rails berman has are absolutely ridiculous! you will all see this fall!

To answer some of the questions... the teaser was cut less than half way through the season, at which point we had shot more rails than anything else, so there's definitely a higher percentage of jibbing than will end up in the actual movie.

However, I do expect that the vid will end up with a good deal more grinds and jibs than any of the other vids out there. I think you will find the % of jib stuff similar to the content of most snowboard vids. While there may be more urban stuff than some of you would like to see in a ski vid, I can promise that everything that ends up in the vid will be nothing less than the sickest jibbing that went on all year.

There will also be a ton of back country kickers, and a smattering of the best stuff that went down in parks and comps.

Coming out on VHS and DVD sometime in Sept...
