This is truth on a different level.
I don't know that I agree 100% in the respect that Bobby, as he's often skiing for pay with several cameras aimed at him...isn't all that relatable to most of us. In my opinion, by pursuing professional skiing, he has become an ambassador, a role model, and controversial....whether he/anyone likes it or not. Sure, he still has fun and is motivated by the same things that we all are (pushing ourselves, scaring ourselves, amazing ourselves, having fun, etc.), but I wonder if Bobby Brown would have thrown that triple by himself without any spectators, cameras, fellow pros. or the threat that someone else would do it first. So, sometimes I think that the knee jerk opposition towards more spinny flippys is actually people tuning into some less concrete ideas and worries, and not just blindly hating on an individual as it often appears.
I wrote a similar post in the Jon Brogan thread where I claimed it's not anyone's responsibility to "progress skiing". I still don't think it is.
