I love goldeneye as much as anyone who grew up playing N64 but i dont think i would ever play that game. I dont know if they were trying to mimic the graphics of the original but those were shitty. Goldeneye was a great game and it really started the multiplayer thing. They should at least to it justice and improve the graphics

I miss the old days. Favorite memories were getting paid minimum wage to play 4 player goldeneye at the mountain with my friends. Best bond game ever. Sucks that the graphics are terrible when you go back in time, but that game was the shit.

well no shit it doesn't have CoD4 or MW2 quality graphics....PS3 and 360 are meant for the great, "blow your mind" graphics....Wii is not built to be like that.

A game is not all about graphics...if a game was all about graphics why would you play any pokemon game in general, or why would you go start up the playstation to play the first Tony Hawks Pro Skater....they are just fun...if I had a Wii I would buy this as Goldeneye was one of the most fun I ever had playing a video game.

Actually the Wii offers games with great graphics. I would agree that it does not have as many games with great graphics like the PS3 or 360 however that does not mean it cannot support great graphics.

One game that comes to mind with great graphics is Monster Hunter Tri. I believe that they purposely chose to do retro style graphics for the new GoldenEye, just to be a nice throwback to the fans.

goldeneye, ocarina of time, smash bros, mario kart (though i was a huge fan of diddy kong racing myself), goldeneye, tony hawk's pro skater 1.. the list goes on. i loved the n64, and being able to pick up a 'new and improved' piece of my childhood which still retains it's roots is just awesome. seems that every mmorpg is the same, 1ps is the same, etc etc. all so competitive, designed to draw people in and get them addicted (ranking systems, unlocks, constant patch updates). this is the kind of game i can kick back for an hour here or there and play with a couple of friends without having to feel like i'm getting sucked into something so involved that i'm inevitably going to wind up a huge antisocial nerd

yeah i thought the same thing. pierce brosnan was a sick bond, and he was the star of goldeneye.. my only conclusion is that they went to him and he turned it down, or some sort of internal politics, perhaps, like daniel craig having the current rights to the bond franchise

well its wii only, so i'll never play it. Apparently they decided to be retro and give it n64 style graphics too. Make it for 360/ps3 and i'd be willing to bet it would be one of the best selling games of the year.


I'd assume its not brosnan anymore because of contracts. Daniel Craig is bond now, and they are quite strict on it. As soon as the actor changes, every piece of bond merchandise sold from them on features the new one.

This time I'm gonna say no, just no.

Even though every Zelda has made slight changes after A Link to The Past, the fun is actually starting to erode because there are no real innovations in the series any more.

Ooh, you are an elf-boy. Ooh, a dungeon. Look, it's a boomerang/bomb/hookshot! Use it to solve the easiest puzzle ever (that you have basically solved three times already in previous games). The boss of the dungeon! Looks quite mad...but WAIT! Use the item found to expose its weak spot and hack away. Rinse and repeat 3-4 times and poof, piece of heart and an item for plot purposes - gotta collect a lot of those to piece them together I reckon. Welp, off to ride Epona into the next themed dungeon!

The thing is that they are some of the best games ever made, and are guaranteed to be such until Miyamoto gives the reigns to someone else. Impossible to hate - very possible to be disappointed.

I'm neutral to the fact that I own no video game consoule, never have I, besides a Gameboy Pocket and DS. So I'll never actually get around to playing these games, unless I know people who have these, but I don't.

It's more of this link to childhood for me.
Donkey Kong Country has the strongest link, Zelda...Not so much.

DK Country was, and still is the shit in my opinion. 15 years later, and it looks just as good. If not, better. I really like how it the gameplay looked in the trailer.
