Lifting supplement question...

so i've done the years of protein and mass gainer and they really haven't done much for me. i'm not looking to get obscenely jacked, it would just be really beneficial if i could put on weight and muscle mass prior to the ski season so i can be stronger, ski harder, prevent injury, etc...

i'm looking into NO supplements, that is, supplement that consist of nitric oxide. i just don't really know which one to get and if they'll be worth the investment...

right now, it's really between these three...

my roommate does this chemical warfare pill. He gained 15 pounds of muscle in 2 weeks and went from a max of 205 to 295 in 3 weeks. He got huge so fast.

lol what did he do? That is humanly impossible. Gaining 10 pounds a week in bench is crazy. If you are telling the truth I am buying this shit tomorrow.

i have a few friends taking this stuff right now
not too sure what it is but supposedly you gain 1 pound a day for 2 weeks-all pure muscle

Preworkout: Jack3d or NO Xplode
Intra-workout: IntraBolic or First Order
Post Workout: Platinum HydroWhey or CytoGainer
Before Bed: Casein Protein (many different manufacturers)

Every day: LOTS OF WATER and a multivitamin.
Every night: LOTS OF SLEEP.

On your lifting days, lots of carbs are fine. On your off-days, get most of your carbs (if you can) from fruits and vegetables. Avoid carbs before bed.

Lift 3-4 times a week. Intersperse cardio to mix things up.

Intra-workout supplementation is optional.

Food: Eggs, Egg whites, Wheat Bread, Lots of Whole grains, Oatmeal, Bananas, Greek Yogurt, Blueberries, Ground Flaxseed, Chicken, Fish, Brown Rice, Broccoli, Avocado, Turkey Burgers, Pasta, Olive Oil ...

Eat a LOT. Quantity and quality are both key.

NO products are basically just for motivation...they will get you in the gym and give you a pump, and most have some creatine in them... I personally don't get a response from NO products...but had the most luck with a product called NO Shotgun (don't spend $70 on an NO product when you can get one that just does as well for $30)

Quite frankly though, I stopped messing around with all the garbage out there that claims unrealistic promises and I developed a solid diet and hit the weights hard.

I decided to try a simple Creatine Monohydrate and have seen excellent gains. The monohydrate is one of the few creatines that does not have the side affect of water retention. I'm solid as hell right now, and my lifts have increased. I would suggest trying this if you want to gain some lean size...NO products aren't going to make you bulk, the weights are.
