Skateboarding help

so i started skateboarding like 2 weeks ago. i can land ollie's sometimes, but i can land front 1's and nollie pop shuv's. i cannot do normal heelflip's. when i try to do a heelflip, its a inward heelflip is apparently way harder. any tips on how to land a ollie all the time and normal heelflips?

ok sweet! the kid i was talking to yesterday is really into old school skateboarding and he was telling me how hard it is to do an inward. i told him that most of the stuff i try i dont know what its called

for ollies stay on the balls of your feet.  and the faster you go the easier.  for heel flips it sounds like you are pushing too hard with your heel.  just flick it and try not to kick it so hard

my suggestion would be to skate for more than two weeks before you are trying flip tricks and such
you need to be comfortable on a board first

Heelflips are a real pain but they are easier to learn than kickflips, once you get kickflips youll like them alot more, but to the point. Just do ollies everywhere and you'll get good at them. For heelflips keep your feet balanced. If you lead foot is hanging off far hang your back foot off far if its in the middle keep your other foot in the middle, and always keep more pressure on the back foot. The board will go behind you alot, but eventually itll work.

also heelflips are ollies. so get your ollies good first then all you have to do for heelflips is hang your toes off and ollie

all the post before are pretty much the best help you will get.

i find learning kickflips first are easier then heelflips but some might think different

well i got my skateboard 2 weeks ago from my friend which is when i really got into skateboarding. i skateboarded a little whenever i went over to his house. yes i do feel comfortable on a board. i dont purposely try flips. i just fuck around.

no thats not being comfortable at all, that just means you don't fall off the second you step on. I've been skateboarding my whole life and around the middle of past summer is the time that I could truly say that I feel comfortable and confident on my board. It takes years to develop that comfort level, not weeks....

There is no reason to be doing flip tricks if you can't even ollie. Being comfortable on a board means being able to ollie anywhere at any speed.

basicly just ollie all the time for a while. just keep doing them all day. over broom sticks then work you'r way up by just stacking things. only do ollies for like a week and then you will be way more comftorable on you'r board so when you go for a heel you will be more comftorable.

you cant nollie pop shuv. you can do those little nollie shuvs to spin your board around, i doubt theres much actual POP involved.

as others have said, learn to ollie well first, and get comfortable on your board. then learn pop shuvs, front ones, back ones etc. LEARN TO CATCH YOUR FLIP TRICKS. it looks way better to do a well caught kickflip than a varial flip where you just flick it and pray you land on it.

when I started doing heelflips I had the same problem. I figured out that my back foot would push the board away (like what it would do in a pop shuv it) so just try and keep it from interfering with the board after you have popped it up, not back. hope that helps.

for ollies try moving your front foot farther back. when i learned i put mine just ahead of the back truck bolts and it felt wierd at first but will give you much more room to lift the board. and for heelflips i learned with my front foots heels off the board then just sliding it forward and off the board

Its very close to impossible to learn how to skate on the internet. Get back on your deck and keep skating, you wont stomp flip tricks for a while (months/years) skating is fucking hard to learn

OLLIE- put almost your whole foot on the board wherever it is comfertable(front foot that is) back foot wherever comfertable. pop up and slide your front foot against the front of the board while jumping as high as you can.
heelflips- learn more stuff first, you wont get gooched as much

Can anyone give tips on ollieing over stuff? I can do ollies anytime anywhere just i can do it off of and over things. I think its between timing and me being a pussy.

just start small and work your way up, you will figure it all out through trial and error
