Oakley sent goggles to MLB teams so when they get their playoff birth this year they will have dope goggles to get the bottles popping with. Its a great idea from an advertising stand point. shoutout on sportcenter, can be seen during interviews, I give props to Oakley for thinking of it.

nice one man! you must assume that people with bellies can't be strong. that photo is of antonio alfonesca, a great closing pitcher (also had 6 fingers on both hands). A closing pitcher for (in that photo) the Phillies, an American League team. He didn't have to bat, only throw.

true... it's called "america's past-time" for a reason... not a real "sport" trust me i played it plenty...

baseball takes certain skills... compared to golf it's a very intense and athletic sport... but it isn't basketball or football etc...

it is true that some of your players are in FANTASTIC shape as mentioned above (there are many athletic baseball players, usually outfielders or shortstops etc... they can run, jump, throw, and have great coordination and the ability to react to dynamic situations when the game is in fast motion)

but also remember MOST of you stars are either pitchers (NO running, NO jumping, NO strength (minus their shoulder), NO coordination (minus 3 motions) etc...

OR

home run hitters... immense strength and one set of coordinating skills to swing and watch a ball hit their bat...

Baseball is fun to play, I'd played it growing up... but stating that it's a legitimately intense sport (like basketball or football, which i also played) is idiotic...

it doesn't take half of the skill, or intelligence, or pure talent that those sports take...

just the fact that there are overweight players in the game is a testament to what a joke it is. the only legit sport i can think of that has fat people playing is football, and they're there because being fat is an advantage.

^pitchers have the most intense work out routine in baseball. And ur saying that there aren't fat people in other sports, have u ever seen an offensive line? The fact that people bag on baseball players as not athletic have some wierd jealousy complex. If ur not a fan why would u care enough to make some rediculous argument that make u sound like a dipshit. It just shows that u have no idea what becoming a professional baseball player goes through to get into the mlb.

1. because we know that making fun of baseball is NOT the same thing as watching baseball.

2. yeah we don't because unless any of us went on a crack binge before, we don't know what its like to suck a lot of dick and take it in the ass only to live a shame-filled life just to get some money.

Someone wanna enlighten me as to why these guys need goggles on? They look retarded. OK so there's some champagne and beer flying around, so what, harden the fuck up. They're professional athletes, are you telling me they're afraid of getting a bit of booze in their eye?

You don't see race car drivers and the like stopping to put on their safety goggles before popping the champagne.

I just saw that.. I was wondering why they had Oakley goggles on.  I forget which team I saw on sportscentre but looked like they had ambushes or something. I think it's hilarious they need eye protection for when all the champagne is flying.

haha you are a fucking idiot. probably the dumbest person on this site. hitting a baseball is the one hardest skill to learn in any sport. i guarantee you that you could not even touch a ball from the philles pitcher posted. he has a great core and better balance than most skiers. if you have ever pitched or played baseball competitively you would understand. yeah it may not be extremely physically demanding, but the amount of coordination, SKILL, PURE TALENT, and intelligence it takes is off the charts. if you played baseball every day for the rest of your life you could never compete with baseball players because they are so talented. tell me that any baseball player is less skilled, smart, or talented than a football or basketball player after playing baseball and i'll quit NS. and i played all 3
