So, if all goes as planned I will be spending this winter somewhere on the western half of the United States doing nothing but working some minimum wage job at a resort, and skiing. This means that it's time for a big purchase... some sweet skis! That being said, I need some help.
I am a female skier of an advanced intermediate level. I just haven't had enough time/$ in the past few years (I'm a college student that went to school in WI and was raised in AZ, it's been either hot, or flat) to actually "master" the next level, but that's what this winter will hopefully be for!
Gender: Female
Level: Advanced-intermediate
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 122 lbs
Ski type: all-mountain
Build: tall, skinny, medium muscle strength, but not super fit.
I am looking for a ski that is a good intermediate ski since it will be my only pair (even if for just a while). I am a moderate skier, not too aggressive (I was once described as "graceful, but I don't know if we'll go that far), but will put power into making higher speed, smooth, tight(er) turns. I am looking for something, then, that turns well, but requires medium effort to do so. I really enjoy powder skiing, but I need something that will work well on groomed runs. I like going reasonably fast, but I don't feel the need to tear past other skiers. I would like to work on mogul skiing, but I don't think it will ever be my favourite.
So, first, what size of ski do you think would be best? And the please, make suggestions!
Right now I've got the K2 T9 Lotta Luv up on the list...
