i skipped madden to buy this.

but know i don't know because medal of honor is coming out....ncaa 11 is still there. and the new WoW xpack is coming in november.

and lets not forget Halo Reach.

FUUUUUUUUUUU, I am going to buy an xbox just for that game. And a ps3 so I can get the full enjoyment of the awesomness. And I swear to go if The Blackhawks are the best team in the game I am going to flip a shit.

just got back from playing this at my friends house. the hitting is unreal! the game plays a lot slower than nhl 10, but there's sliders to change that lol. love the overall depth they've included (ie RFAs, CHL, etc.). killer game, but kinda pricey at $69.99 CDN. highly recommended buy

Bought it today. I definately like 10 better. The passing in 11 SUCKS. I hope they come out with an update. You have to hold it down or else your pass is slow as shit, and ussually by that time you've been checked off the puck. Didn't really like the whole create your team thing and buy playing cards, or the more confusing GM mode. I might get used to it though (actually I'm pretty confident I will get used to it), but for now 10>11.

oh, and kadri is shit, only 70, I so I was a little pissed at that haha

Idk, nhl 10 and 09 were basically the same and I've been wanting fifa 11 for a long ass time. And with the new be a keeper mode, I'll probably end up skipping this until after fifa 11.

I don't know what your talking about. This game is sick. Passing takes getting used to, but then you can make your passes faster than in 10 when you get better at the game. Also faceoffs are amazing. No just winning it back, there are tons of different moves you can do to win the puck.

The passing takes time to get used to but makes it interesting and more challenging. Any way the Be a pro mode is soooooo awesome, from starting playing in the memorial cup to getting drafted then fighting for a spot on the team this game rocks, also the hip checking is kick ass

bought it today, fucking sick game.

be a pro is pretty sweet, won the memorial cup, got picked first overall. i wish it had a request trade option though, i don't want to play for the devils :(.

i haven't tried dynasty yet, how are people liking it?

Played NHL all afternoon and all night. Passing was tougher than I thought, but after a while wasn't too bad at all. Just started the Gm mode, but playing against roommates all day was good fun.

What they have done to this game is unreal. The gameplay does seem slower I find but its smoother and way more enjoyable. Euphoria is wicked in it and having the manual hip check now is money.

But, the greatest thing from what I found is that I can now play online and not want to smash something because some dude scored every goal with a one-timer. Its actually pretty funny to see the guys online that are still trying to constantly do one timers but its nothing but fail.

Wow the broken stick, pass stick, get a new stick, play without the stick bullshit seems like it has the potential to be REALLY annoying and unrealistic if it happens more than once or twice a game on average. I'm still buying this but not sure if I want it for Xbox or PC.

EXACTLY what I would expect from EA. They're always so fucking juiced about some random new feature they've put in each year that they totally over-emphasize it. Seriously, don't mess with a good thing - make the animation smoother, make the gameplay more realistic (in the sense that not every one timer goes in and it's actually hard to get in the slot with a clear shot and much easier to stick with a check)... stuff like that. If there was any addition I'd like to see to the series it would be a "chemistry" thing where some players play better with certain linemates and chemistry develops over time, so Henrik and Daniel play better together than if you traded one of them to Carolina.

they did put chemistry in the game also, and they did add some good new gameplay elements and make the game run smoother, but ya, they had a huge boner for the broken sticks

there are sliders to make it so the stick breaks less...i figured out all the dekes except the one where you pull your stick all the way back and pull the puck through your legs. ive done it just cant figure out how. sick game though but how can they charge these outrageous prices

EA put the game speed as slow as possible, make sure you put it up when you get it. Makes it much nicer.

What? NHL 09 has so many glitches, I would routinely have games where 20 goals were scored, and it was on superstar.

Its not that easy to score on superstar, and if you have high scoring games when playing other people they just suck.
