Wake Surfing

Went this weekend and it was awesome.  I've never wakeboarded or surfed or done much board type activities before, but picked it up pretty quick.  My boss has a Malibu and is going to get us out to the lake a bunch this year.  I'm pretty stoked.  That is all.

last year i learned surface threes
beer in hand staying behind the boat is also very enjoyable

i've wanted to try it for a while, but unfortunetly my boat is an inboard outboard instead of a direct drive, so if i fell i might end up hitting the prop.
i feel like i would still prefer to wakeboard.

if you have the right boat and driver it is super easy- we would take my friends tige wakeboat- load it up with a ton of ballast- and have everyone sit on one side- fucking sweet- definitely fun to mix it up with wakeboarding

Wake surfing is so sick.  We fill up the front and port ballast tanks and have everyone sit on one side of the boat and we get a monster wake.  It's awesome for when the lake isn't that calm so you can't go wakeboarding but still want to go out on the boat and do something.

Never been wake surfing, but I love wakeboarding. Done it in Tahoe and it's pretty fuckin gnarly.

i find glass water better for skiing or wakeboard. if there is complete glass that killlls the feet. need a little bit of wind to take off the edge.. but i guess if no turns and stay in boat wash its the same thing

I wanted to get a wake surf board but my boat's got an outboard so it's not too ideal. Tubing is where its at. Same with kneeboarding.
