I am working on putting together an eagle project which got me thinking, how many people on NS are eagle scouts?  Also, what did you do as a project?

I got to life and then i got my drivers' licences haha

But for projects, Ive built a bridge, built steps, and installed bat houses...

For my project I helped put a park together in my town. You know, put in trash cans, built a storage bench, clean stuff around the place, and buy stuff it needed to look nice. It was pretty easy but I was lazy so it took like two years lol

i'm an eagle scout, and the paperwork hella scared me when i was getting ready for my project, but my advice is to just do it. I mean dont half ass it, but dont stress over it a ton, cause a lot of people will help you out as you go along.

But yeah its a great experience.. do it.

I am and it was the best thing ive done, helps out so much with jobs and college and with girl friends parents hahah I built an outdoor class room for my elementary school youll be surprised how many youll meet when you get older

Yeah, I am presenting my paperwork monday.  I am trying super hard because my mom said I could build a summer setup if i got my eagle done.

I am, and for mine I organized a Food Drive through the Food Bank. I had to go through every step of the process. So after the food drive, you had to go through the distribution and the actual handing out of the food.

I'm an eagle scout.

Definitely don't put it off to the last minute - it can really fuck kids if they don't have something done right.

I built a horse coral haha - it was a long ass project.

i cleared a whole bunch of invasive species, built an entrance and made educational signs for an environmental center at my local church.  a lot of work but definitely worth it.  being an eagle scout has gotten me two great jobs since. and my roommate that works as a corporate recruiter said that every resume they get that says eagle scout automatically gets put on top of the pile.  people love it.

i've finished my project but i dont have the rank yet because i still have to get some merit badges checked off.

My project was making 33 wood duck boxes for MassWildlife. So i made a bunch of huge birdhouses. pretty sweet.

Any other OA members in here too?

I'm starting to put mine together. Should have done it a long time ago cause I'll be 18 in July.... I am planning on doing some land scaping and putting a sign up at my church.

I only made it to life and although i regret not finishing it out, i think i was still able to get out of it the majority of what to boy scouts has to offer..

But for my projects I painted and installer trail posts at a hiking trail by downtown Cincinnati and also installed 3 water diverters(sp)

im sorry congrats on getting eagle but seriously 14? i feel like kids dont understand the point of scouts at age 14. i mean you said it yourself you prolly wouldnt have done it if it ran into hs just saying

Forgot details bout my project. I organised a bicycle safety fair in my town and had a bunch of little stations for the kids to go through. Then had a fat raffle and gave away Free Stuff. It was actually free, unlike the "free stuff" they give away at windells, which is overpaid for by the parents of the campers.
