Who would buy this? Anyone here? I'd probably want about 4500 + shipping for the whole thing

hvx200p w/16gb card and battery 5000 retail
century wide angle 400 retail
32 gb p2 card 600 retail
extra panasonic battery 100 retail
glide cam 500 retail

about 6600 retail for 4500? if anyone was really interested we could negotiate and i would definitely sell some parts separately AFTER i sell the camera.

If anyone has any questions about the camera or the equipment included in the package PM me. Id probably sell just the camera (w batt and 16gb p2) for about 3500.


The more i see shit about 7ds the more interested i become, so this is a definite feeler seeing how my summer job is going to be filming and ill definitely need a camera no matter what. i dunno dudes hit me up if youre even mildy interested haha

Its not my fault i have a soft spot for DOF and its summer and im bored haha i still dont have full confidence in DSLRs but damn they sound nicer every day.

Stop being coy, your switching, no one really cares.. We all know the 7D is nutty, the only reason you wouldnt sell the hvx for a 7d is your holding out for the 7d replacement. Its cool..

I may be pretty interested in your glidecam and .6 century. actually very interested. ill just pm you probably.

what is it you're filming for work in the summer that you need a camera for?

hopefully itll sell pretty quick though if you decide to sell. it should, its a sick camera and all

yeah makes sense. which glidecam do you have anyways though? 4000 or 2000? id love to find a good used one, can't justify spending that much on a new one in my head for some reason.

Heath, have you listed it over on DVXuser? That or ebay is probably your best bet.

...your HVX is losing value by the day.  I would drop your price to $4k, hop over to DVXuser, sell it in a week and just get on the DSLR train.

If you pick up a camera tomorrow, you might be able to get the hand of shooting a DSLR before all your projects start.

ha yeah but the 1dmk4 has the same video, not phased.


As for the price, ive stated both on here and dvxuser im complete open to best offer, but fuckers on dvxuser are selling their hvxs for like 2gs cause their company bought it for them and now their company bought them a whole new dslr setup.

And i dont have the money to just do that, nor the credit, id need to sell my camera at least before anything.

That is cheeeaap.   Wow.  The thing is, there's not much reason to get an HVX200 over an HMC150, which is probably why the price has dropped so much.

Not really... I've used both of them quite a bit, and the main reasons that I'd go for the HVX would be DVXPRO HD format, and the 1-60fps (I'm not sure if the HMC does 1-60 or just 24, 30, 60).  The HMC's low light abilities, light weight body, and upgraded ccd's are enough to make the choice obvious for me... Especially if you're using a 35mm adapter, the low light ability of the HMC is key.  But I don't wanna threadjack from eheath's sale.  I say ebay.

and in respects to lowlight, maybe with the HVX200...but the 200a will be similar if not identical to the capabilities of the 150 (Ihave an hvx200a and my buddy shoots with a hmc150)

Not trying to hijack ehath's thread, if anything bumping it and proving the value of the camera.

Lets play the honest game, almost no one on NS is shooting anything that will go to a professional projector on a screen any bigger than 10 feet across.  90% of the group is editing and exporting right to h264 quicktime.  So really, they arent loosing anything by going AVCHD.  And for less money, cheaper memory costs, and a similar workflow, they are getting results which (to 99% of viewers) is identical to an HVX anything.

The price Heath is asking is not out of line for this camera.  However, most of NS doesn't need an HVX.
