I'm pretty sure lizzies are lighter. Its alright to ask questions man. best to get this shit figured out before buying.
If the new bacons ski like the previous models they will be great at jumps and whatnot and get around decent on boxes and rails. The reason the Lizzies are being discontinued is because they're so similar to the bacons and polard started using them for park more. The bacons are also pretty damn close to symetric too. they have a bit of a longer turn radius and they're stiffer.
Now the schizo idea would be great on the bacons. i was actually going to do this myself for traveling to resorts. More back for powder and all mountain and more forward for park. If you have an oppurtunity to ride the lizzies and the bacons just find the ones you like best. if you only get to ride the lizzies then think of them as stiffer and a little bit wider.
Its hard to describe the differences between the two but its more of how they feel thing.
Couple things though. Are you planning on getting the 172 length SFB's or the 182's? and the 09/10 or 10/11?
alright. I don't know too much about the new models unfortunately. Now if you're worried about the size of the lizzies compared to what you're used to don't be man. They're so easy to throw around no matter what size you are. i know a kid thats 5' 3 that kills on the lizzies.
I have a pair of 1993 K2 55500, 2005 K2 Public Enemy's, 2009 Line Prophet 130's, and 2010 Armada JJ's. One ski quivers??! What?!? Just get a pair of that you'll be able to use for awhile and when your ready to buy another pair...just add them to your current lineup, before you know it you've got choices!! You seem unsure of what you want to ski...that by far is the choice you have to make! You know your ability and your riding level so buck up! I could talk about skis to you everyday but ultimately you have to make the choice on what you want and how much you want to pay. They're expensive but it's skiing and it's always been that way!
By the way this is pretty late, so what did you choose?
