team america's edit got me more pumped up to ski but only because they are the only ones with a fast beat song.

this edit had the best skiing in it and wanted me to get better at everything.   I wish they just chose a better song

What was unique and different about the editing? The filming was actually rather bland and I agree that the tight shots of the kickers took away the sense of scale and how big the features really were, and I agree that some of the nighttime urban was poorly lit (as was Sweden's...or maybe Europe....the greenlit one). And, as far as reusing a song...the answer is self-evident—it wasn't imaginative. I personally like the song and the vibe, but I HATE when people recycle songs. There's SO much good music out there, it's almost insulting to recycle.

See, before I even clicked your profile, I KNEW you were from Norway, there was NO doubt in my mind. Same goes for another kid who defended a valid criticism. I hate nationalism and when people back "their team" unquestioningly. Just be honest and look past country pride...it's JOSS, not the Olympics or some sort of international-political-conquer the world contest.

All that said and aside...this is probably my favorite edit so far as the riding was just absolutely next level. Holy shit. Tech, creative, stylish, diversity of tricks...basically perfect. Wow. The edit was well paced (intro right length, and the mix/quantity of shots on the different features felt right), and the vibe was fun (I mean...it's Andreas).

Props to Norway, can't imagine that NS and Canada were both better.

Shit that was so sick, Andreas dub 10 dub mute to japan is so nuts. That first urban hip was pretty big jump for urban.

Canada's edit must be incredible, Im pumped

The only thing that was lacking was the fact that there was no Jon Hatveit follow-cams! That guy is a god at follow-cams, so why were there none?! I always loved Hatveits clips because they are usually shot by his brother, but this one seemed to lack the creativity that's usually standard with Hatveit. Otherwise it was epic.

it's very hard to find a song you get premition from the artist/lable to use that actually fits with the editing... so unless u wanna spend 5000 $ on a song for the edit, you use something you can get from free...

To be fair, the lights that were provided to teams were less than adequate. I'm not sure if Team Norway was using their own lights or using the lights that everyone had access to but the group lights were quite dim. It was awesome that they provided lighting and gen. access to the teams this year but the lights that were provided were really low wattage and made lighting challenging for several of the teams I talked to, including our team. Luckily Kevin had brought some nice lights we were able to use eventually once we were able to get the appropriate bulbs shipped in (for our last nighttime shoot).
