Stolen Skis: PLEASE help!

I am aware that these stories as threads can be annoying but i really need help with this one.

So this past sunday i was up at Whistler skiing with my father for his birthday. We went in for lunch on Blackcomb and separated our skis with one of each in two pairs on either side of the ski racks.

When we got back from maybe a 30 minute lunch both pairs were gone. when we checked the security tapes it showed two kids both about 5'8" taking both of the skis and riding off with them.
What is really bothersome to me is that both of the kids were wearing helmets WITH NewSchoolers stickers stamped all over them. Ski Patrol was able to locate one of the kids who had my ON3P jeronimos. But we never found the other kid who rode off with my dads birthday present.

The skis that we are looking for are this years Movement Couloirs 187cm mounted with Fritschi Diamir touring bindings on them, this whole situation makes me more sad than anything, especially that it was somebody reppin newschoolers who took the skis.

If anybody knows any information go ahead and shoot me a pm or post on the thread, any knowledge would be much appreciated and would mean a lot, thank you.

I MIGHT have seen this kid at grouse before, sounds pretty familiar, but I'm not sure about everything, just remember some kid with an ugly ass sandbox who seemed like a douchebag.  Pics would definitely help a ton

just so you all know... im still working super hard on getting pics and i will be sure to update as soon as i can.

it would also be much appreciated if everybody could just keep an eye out for the movements in the B/S/T threads, i would just love for the end of this thread to be happy!

i think someone already said this, but keep an eye on craigslist for you dad's skis. that would be a prime place for someone to sell them

I like that Whistler hit the guy hard with a 10 year ban.  That's awesome.  I wish more ski areas would do this. 

With all the threads on here all the time about how bummed NSer's are when they get their stuff stolen, it blows me away that NSer's would steal someone else's skis. 

Hope someone figures out a way to expose these guys on here.   If they tried to sell the skis on BST, I would recommend an IP Ban.

I like the way you think, but driving from Denver to Whistler just so I can get thrown in a Canadian Jail for beating up a 15 year old kid sounds less than constructive.  I'd be happy if OP gets his boards back and the guy gets a 10 year ban from Whistler and NS.  Pretty much the only thing he'd have left to do is sit around his house and beat off.   Thinks of the callouses.

ha, i like the hate... trust me i have thought of some pretty creative things to do to this kid if i ever get to meet him.

and yes i was glad that whistler took it seriously, which is why i ended up not pressing further charges on the other kid... i thought that the 10 year ban from his home mountain was suitable.

ive looked at craigslist a couple times and i havent found them yet, the good thing is that the setup is pretty unique so they will stand out if they are ever posted.

thanks for the help/vibes (again), it helps me stay positive.

He's have umpteen thousand NS'ers baying for his blood....   but he deserves it though. The annoying thing is - he's probably reading through this thread daily etc....  needs to do the decent thing.

I suggest we give this kid an opportunity to do the right thing, make arrangements with ski2sky through a pm to return the skis, when ski2sky confirms that he has the skis the thread is deleted, the witch hunt ends, and his anonymity remains in tact.

I don't think NS is a forgiving community, but we respect skis, and I think getting his dads skis back is more important than a lynching on here.

If the thief is reading this, I am warning you,make good on this mistake now, if we find out who you are you are going to be as well known on here as chads gap and full tilts

Yet another case of the dumb criminal. Not only does he steal skis, which is totally fucked as it is, but he steals them at his home mountain. Dumbass.

I hope you find the kid, get your dads skis and tell this piece of shit whats up

Great post. 

But what is sad, is that these kids that did this a) are already rich little kids without respect for the law, or other skiers.  Yuck.  b) are okay with stealing.  I guarantee they wouldn't have gone up and swiped a walled with $1000 in it, but that is essentially what they were doing with the skis. 

To the thieves - PM the guy and get his skis back to him ASAP.  You are lucky he is kind.  He could have pressed charges against you and you would have had a hefty fine and tons of community service at the least, not to mention theft on your record whenever you apply for a job.  How does that look on your resume in 8 years when you want to work at a consulting firm?  Every single application for any kind of work says "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?"  Theft is one of those.  You think you could even get a job waiting tables?  No manager wants you handling money.

Get his skis back to him now.  You aren't a 4 year old who stole a pack of gum from the candy store.  You tried to steal $1000-$1400.

so sorry man, i had skis and poles stolen from me this year, people are disgusting. just get the word out to the best of your ability. tgr. etc. i can't believe some people, out of all the criminals, i have the least respect for thieves; at least most killers are passionate about what they do. thieves (especially ski thieves) are the scumm of the earth. they see themselves as entitled to our shit. OUR SHIT YOU STUPID FUCKERS. i hope while they're reading this a train charges through their home and kills them and their family ! ! ! !

eh, maybe a little much... i just hope that if these kids are NS regulars this thread helps them come to the right decision of returning the skis. am i pissed?... yes, but there have been some very intellegent posts in this thread that i hope will help lead to a happy ending.
