there's a difference between working out for a healthy life, and taking supplements that make you shit yourself or juicing and destroying your organs and fertility. and just because he posted a pic of me drunk on a fixie doesn't mean much. I've been biking since I was 3 years old and have a bike for pretty much every discipline that exists in the sport, except a tt bike, trial bike, and a bmx bike, because tt bikes are expensive, I don't have patience for trials, and bmx hurts when you have blown your knee twice.

thats the thing, I'm not necessarily saying they're evil. I just feel that most of the gymrats who use them tend to have really bad attitudes and aren't fun to be around..

but anabolics, EPO and other blood altering drugs, are really dangerous if used incorrectly. but I mean, use whatever you want, and if it harms you thats your own problem is my outlook

I know this sounds kind of ridiculous, but if you get really good AAS, it's really safe. I know guys who take cycles all the fucking time, and are jacked as fuck..and really healthy. Look at Ronnie Coleman..He's in really really good shape(albeit with hundreds of cycles under his belt) But his training is such that he won't lose muscle if he stops cycling..just stop gaining. He's already cut down I think. He's gonna live til at leaaast 85-90.

Where the fuck did you get the idea that steroids are safe?! Just because some people on bodybuilding forums take AAS and say they're fine does not make them safe.

Yes, the danger of AAS is often overstated (generally, but some really are very dangerous) but they are banned for a reason. And they are a very bad idea if you ski, especially park. AAS may make your muscles stronger but they make you ligaments/tendons less flexible and more likely to snap/tear. Thats fine if all you're doing is low impact exercise like posing but thats not good thing for skiing.

And the idea that steroids won't mess you up in the long run: have you seen any former bodybuilders? The state they're in is just sad. With the amount of abuse they've done their balls will have shrivelled away so they'll need to take steroids for the rest of their life just to function normally. And those who keep taking them, well look at Hulk Hogan; yeah he's still huge but he can barely walk, he moves around like a 90 year old.

Are there 'safe' steroids. Well peptide hormones are the closest to a safe steroid like compound(e.g. growth hormone). But I doubt anyone on here can afford them or get access to them unless they play top level College sport. And these can still cause serious problems.

He's obviously cycling AAS, look at the goddamn size difference of the guy after 2 years. Also, that sort of ruins your argument that it makes your ligaments/tendons more likely to tear. i haven't read thru 3 pages of what I'm assuming are mostly people who don't know what they're talking about, so I'm just going to drop my two cents right here.

No Explode - its basically a vasodilator. it relaxes the smooth muscles in the blood vessel walls and gives you that extra pump. (main reason you experienced what you did. ED meds work in a very similar manner) you won't gain anything long term from it because it's effects are basically reversed once you stop taking it. However, the increased blood to the muscles is definitely felt during your work out. All of the sugar in it sure does help energy levels, too.

ultimately though, all you really need for supplements are protein (1.5 g per lb), creatine, and glutamine. And of course a good diet & a lot of hard work at the gym.

steriods are nice, too. These kind of supplements actually DO work. (note I am not condoning their use, nor am I presenting all of the adverse side effects. merely stating that they do achieve their stated goal of getting bigger/stronger)

yes, the testes do decrease in size during a cycle, but only temporarily. this is due to the increased testosterone in the body (from the juice). The body recognizes the increased levels and basically shuts down natural production to try and achieve a normal level. once the artificial hormones are removed, the body kicks natural production in to full speed and all things return to normal.

in extreme cases of steroid abuse, you can permanently damage your ability to naturally produce test, so there are exceptions to what I stated above.

He probably did use steroids, but that doesn't make steroids safe. Do you have his medical history? If not you won't know how his lipid profiles, liver enzymes etc, testosterone/estorgen levels... have been affected. Without those you can make no judgment on how much damage has been done to his internal organs. Also, in the UK its not a huge secret that pro rugby teams would sign promising 18, 19 year olds who'd disappear for a year or two and then come back massive with help from a 'nutritionist'. Some did all right but every year you'd see these incredibly promising 20 year olds who come out of nowhere but then they get snapped and spend the next couple of years having surgery to fix their shoulders and knees and then they get dropped. It doesn't seem to happen as much these days but thats probably because a variety of peptide hormones are now available (if you've got very deep pockets) that will give these guys the size they need to play pro rugby without damaging their joints.

And as I mentioned, there are AAS like compounds that can produce muscle gains without damaging joints (but they're not steroids, they're peptide hormones/analogues and they're extremely expensive). But I made the point that only top level college or pro athletes in sports like NFL, baseball, rugby, boxing etc.. could afford or get access to them. If he's an NFL player then he probably can get them and get massive without trashing his joints (the peptides would actually increase joint strength rather than weaken them like steroids). Perhaps that Cushing guy used those, I'm sure he/his team could afford them.

And by the way, all AAS (with the possible exception of one steroid) embrittle the collagen fibres that make up tendons and ligaments...FACT. If you're at college do an academic journal search on the effect of steroids on collagen/joints.

Finally, I'm not going to say what the non joint damaging steroid is, nor the peptides that are likely used by NFL players because this sort of info does not belong on this site and I think that using AAS is a bad idea in general and an especially bad idea if you do a lot of high impact sports (which skiing can definitely be). Anyway, the sort of AAS that are typically taken by non-athlete meatheads at your local gym college are likely a lot more powerful than the ones used by pro NFL players etc...Athletes would/should never use them because they will fuck themselves up on the pitch. Meatheads use them because despite being extremely powerful they're very cheap but the side effects are horrendous.

The 'safe' steroid is expensive and probably well out of what most people could afford. And when I I say safe I really mean safe.

Anyway, the AAS in question is sometimes faked. I don't want people thinking that if they can get this stuff they'll get bigger/stronger while they're joints and organs will be fine. If they get the fake stuff they can get into serious trouble because the fake stuff is normally very dangerous. It often happens that cheaper steroids are sold as the 'safe' steroid. Although these imitations are a lot cheaper to make (and buy) they are actually a lot more powerful at building muscle but have a lot of side effects and do a lot of damage.

AAS are not my field of work but I've just done some of my own research on them.

I know a guy who used them and I asked him if he was worried about messing himself up, he said that all thee negative stuff about AAS were exaggerated and just propaganda and said there was no real proof that they were dangerous. We made a bet (we were both drunk) that I couldn't prove the stuff he was taking was dangerous... I won the bet...easily. Once he found out what he'd been doing to his liver he stopped some of the AAS he was on too. He still takes them and I still think he's an idiot for it but at least he now knows how to minimise the damage.

Fuck it, I'll also tell you the main reason why I know a lot about AAS.

Back when I was 19 (I'm now 27) I bought some stuff called 1-AD from a GNC store. 1-AD is a pro-hromone, not a steroid. Anyway, I used it and it did seem to work. How much is hard to tell as being 19 I was consistently getting bigger and stronger through gym work and although I did put on a few pounds on the stuff the gains weren't that remarkable. Anyway, I liked the stuff as it seemed to work and they were no side effects as far as I could tell.

Anyway, pro-hormones were then banned in the US and it was impossible to get 1-AD any more. So I did a search and came across something called M1T which was being sold as a prohormone too. I just assumed that it'd be pretty similar to 1AD...I was very, very wrong.

I started taking the stuff and after only a few days I looked bloated and felt rough. On the fourth day I started to feel really crap. This got progressively worse on the fifth and six day. I thought I was just sick but did a more detailed search on M1T and found out it was actually a steroid. It somehow slipped some regulations that would classify it as a steroid. even though it WAS a steroid. I had no idea that I was taking a steroid, I had always thought that steroids had to be injected and that they would be really expensive. I stopped taking the stuff and within a day I felt miles better and was pretty much completely fine after two.

I'm really glad I reacted badly to the stuff as the damage I could have done if I'd stayed on M1T is pretty scary. Even though it was cheap (a bit cheaper than taking NOXplode) it turns out it is a very powerful steroid with particularly bad side effects. A regular steroid (like testosterone) will be destroyed straight away by the liver if taken by mouth. In order to make steroids works if taken by mouth they are modified by 17aa alkylation which allows it to make it through the liver into the bloodstream...it also makes the stuff toxic. Also, you can't just take this stuff by itself, it needs to be combined with post cycle therapy to reduce side effects (e.g. bitch tits) and help your body cope with coming off AAS . This involves (among other things) taking cancer medication. I didn't have access to any of these other things so if I'd stayed on the stuff for a full course and then stopped cold turkey I'd have lost all the muscle I'd put on because my natural testosterone production system (brains and balls) would have been shut down and would take a long time to start working normally again. Without natural testosterone or the AAS my muscle tissue would have just started to waste away. Fortunately I was on the suff for a short enough time that the damage was minimal.

I'm not proud of taking M1T or being that stupid but I'm sharing this as a cautionary tale which will hopefully make some people think twice about taking AAS

I mean, I know Cushing has great genetics..but that seems a bit extreme to me. He got SO much stronger. I have the utmost faith in DeFranco..but he's not that good. Cushing's weight is now 263. He can dunk a basketball as well..
