Yes another acne thread... Sorry if It pisses you off..

Ok so yes, I did searchbar. But I have basically tryed everything and has not seemed to work. Does anyone have any suggestions what so ever +++++K to all that help. Once again, sorry if this pisses you off

for me acne seems diet related. If I eat well its is fine, but as soon as i binge on sugar/chocolate it gets bad.

You need a presciption for it, but it not that severe. Tretinoin, you can go with .5% and you will be fine. Depending on your skin it may dry it out a shitload, but I was fine with it. It is just a cream that you put on before bed since it dries up your skin immediately after. Shit works like magic super effective.

IF it is pretty severe go to a dermatologist and get accutane. this isnt really the time to be on it since long periods of sun exposure if horrible for you when you are on it (so summer sucks for it). It is 6 months long, so you will be taking pills for a while. But no matter how bad you have acne, it will clear it all up. Shit is intense.

Go and see a Dermatologist they can perscribe you some amazing stuff man.

Also diet plays a big role in acne. Try not to eat alot of sugar and deff no soft drinks or candy. Also alot of peoples acne gets flared up by drinking milk. Some people say fried foods cause alot of acne but as long as I dont eat it every day it dosent seem to affect me.

A last last resort would be accutane. I did it and regret it simply because im still having bad affter effects from it but I will admit my face is 95% clear and usually 100% clear but I ate a bunch of candy last night so I had a little break out this morning.

well firstly...see a dermontologist (sp)
things you can do to prevent acne...
shower before you leave the house and before you go to bed.
moisturize...dead skin actually hurts the skin
clean pillow covers every couple days
dont touch your face a lot

i had bad acne when i was a freshman and sophmore..19 now and its gone away i just have oily skin but its not bad. it sucks to have acne because it can def control the way you feel in public and hurts your confidence. see a doctor if its to that point

Yea exactly. Talk to your doctor, he will most likely give you some topical prescription + and antibiotic.
If it persists or gets worse, talk to a dermatologist about accutane. That stuff works wonders, and the side effects arent nearly as scary as they say

stress usually sends mine for a loop, same with eating shitty foods. Trying to lay off soft drinks right now but it's proving rather difficult; so used to them.

ok so here is my treatment, actually, try toothpaste, im serious it worked for me, if nothing else works, go to a dematoligist, acne is actually a skin condition that can lead to annoying scars on your face, i know you dont want that, good luck

Accutane. I think they have a generic though now. If it is mild and just your face, a topical like differin may work fit you. But if you have it on your back and chest or cyst-like acne, a topical won't get to that.

Oh, back in high school I went through two prescription topicals and one prescription antibiotic before accutane. The accutane cleared that shit up so fast it was amazing. Just stay on it for whatever amount of time your dermatologist recommends.

Im going to give you some really good advice right now alright, normally i charge for this shit but im in a good mood.

Option 1. if your acne is REALLY bad, just go see the doctor, they will give you something to clear it up for sure, you just need to ask.

Option 2. Just keep your face clean, and dont give a fuck. Be confident, not giving a fuck will make up for any insecurities that you may have.

yeah I used Benzaclin in it totally works..you just have to be faithful about putting it on every night.. and it took a couple month for my skin to completely clear up. a quick fix that works for some people's oily skin is rubbing alcohol..but on some people it will dry your skin out..

drying your skin with alcohol just makes your face increase oil production. and if you even have dry skin just sometimes, this is not the shit to use.

just use retin-a-micro. get a script for it. it works wonders, and it makes sense in how it works.

you apply it at night, and its just a cream right? but then you wake up and i swear your face feels like its an oil slick, and you have so much crud that i assume is excreted from your pores that a shower is pretty much necessary in the morning.

if you don't care about make-up, us guys can go walk over to a girl cosmetics aisle and buy some neutrogena skin cover up makeup shit, and it does a great job hiding surprise pimples that do make it through your retin-a-micro defense.

Accutane worked really well for me. The only side effect that it had on me was my lips would get dry as fuck and peel which you can remedy with lots if chapstick. Other than that it was fucking awesome. I also drank almost every weekend i was on it so don't worry too heavily about the avoiding alcohol thing, but chances are you're in high school still and aren't drinking like a college kid.

Oh also I was on tretinoin gel before that which didn't do a whole lot, as well as minocycline i believe  it was which really didn't seem to do much, but everyone is different so find what works and stick with it.
