i watched a guy severely dislocate his shoulder at my mountain. it was gross. i think he's done for the year

Severely dislocated my knee last year in March. Was out til May.

For those of you that don't know what it is, my kneecap was on the side of my leg.

i did that same thing this fall...i was ready for skiing though luckily

now..i severely dislocated my thumb, its in a cast so i can ski..but i do need surgery in a few weeks

i had a hemotoma in my lower back, 2 actually, on the mri it looked like 2 breast implants, that was during the fall though.  I fractured my knee from landing flat but that only set me back a month

about a month ago (early feb) was skiing solid and on the last run of the day i went for a disaster 450 on a rail van (flat down on top of a van) and went too big. Long story short i shattered my tibia snapped my fibula (the long way) and tore my PCL

not season enders, but last year I had a deep contusion (bad bruise) on my over left back from hitting a cat-track, took me out a month or so, then about 3 weeks ago coming off a rail I slammed by back on the landing and got a contusion on the other side of my back....been skiing with a nagging injury for like 3 weeks and its finally getting a little better.....vibes to all the season enders, injuries suck.

I thought about that when I saw the thread, wasn't going to post it though.




A few years ago I fracture a couple vertabre and had a bunch of small fractures all the way up my femur. Luckily the femur ones weren't bad. I just had to watch myself.

3 seasons ago I broke my back in the summer, that put me out of skiing for 1.5 seasons and biking (downhill) for 2 seasons. I also broke my collar bone in last pre-season but i was 100% for 2 weeks after opening. this season I have pulled a few tendons in my ankle (trampoline) so im taking 2 weeks off before i go to the hill again (also lets the snow base accumulate to more than 1 ft)so, i have been pretty lucky so far being healthy for most of my ski seasons :D

I think strengthening is more in order. Does stretching help? Yeah, flexibility is important, but strength is most important so that your ligaments have to do as little work as possible.
And yeah, also tore my acl jan 1 cat skiing. 8 months post op now and feeling pretty fucking solid. Definitely ready to get back on the horse and kill it again.
