Line Afterbang edges cracking?

my afterbang's edges are cracked in 6 different places. two of them are cracking through 4 ply's of wood too. is this happening o anyone else? advice?

This is the truth.  Don't worry about it.  Edge aren't something you can control or worry about.  My afterbangs have edge and still work great.

i really like the ski but both of my skis are delaminating under foot and the back edge is ripping out i also have only skied 11 days on them so i am a bit disappointed

edge cracks happen to almost all skis from hitting rails, it's not too big a deal, and there's really nothing that can do about it.

if you dull your edges before sliding rails they won't crack as quickly

i havent had a freestyle ski yet that hasnt gotten its top edges completely peeled off

My Afterbangs are way beat up, all four edges are cracked at midsole, but they're still the funnest skis ever. I took them to my local shop and they fixed one of the edge up nicely. I'm waiting for the other three cracks to get a little worse so that they can be fixed as well.

i now have 9 edge cracks, 3 of them are cracking through 4+ ply's and one of them has broken out about a half inch of edge. fuck my life

Cracking is normal, but that sucks that your core is cracking with it. Hopefully it doesn't rip core out with the edge.

Like said before, all skis eventually break after hitting alot of rails.  My afterbangs have a good amount of edge damage but still ride fine.  I'm hoping they last one more season.

I agree with everyone else that edge cracks are normal, but if you read his posts, he also has cracks through 4 plys of wood...

I have 1 month worth of park on mine & no cracked edges yet. I tend be pretty light footed though on rails, try not to disaster everything LOL.

this started happong when people slarted makign shitty ass skis.

and by the way my k2 disordlys havent had any edge craks or any thing and i rida the parka ll day and every day(besides if theres pow to be found)

Mine too, I do a lot of rails/ stuff thats not snow and mine have no cracks. My bases have a few dings in them though, hey seem soft. But since it's a soft ski, wouldn't it need a softer base so it could flex?

hmm, i've had extremes the whole year basically and they have no edge cracks yet. and i had the same pair of ar6s for 3 years before that (and part of this season).

no edge cracks in either, and i ski my skis hard.

but, i used my friends rossi scratches for 2 days and tore 4 inches of edge out underfoot.

i'm going to have to play the quality card here i guess. but, i hope the best for your afterbangs, i hear they're super dope
