ya that would b cool but i don't know what it is going to look like.  You never know if it will turn out cool or look like shit if you haven't done it before

yes you can do it. you can dye things into a darker color, so red- to black would be fine.

I don't see why you couldn't. Obviously if you want to dye it, there isn't any electrical work inside it (like speakers), so nothing should go wrong.

Dye changes the fibers color, and shouldn't ruin anything.
