should i just go with recomended or what? never skied a reverse reverse ski so i really have no idea what to do. anybody with some experience have some input?

yeah, stay close to recommened for sure. The recommended line is pretty close to center and since they are reverse sidecut, moving the mount point around changes where the widest part of the ski sits under your foot, and moving the mount point can theoretically completely change the way they will perform.
i road some mounted on the line and absolutely loved them, forwards, backwards, everything.
