I always make sure to say a quick prayer before i hit the slopes for the day
and before each run

does anyone else do this?

Well, ok, you're entitled to your opinion and I respect it. I'm saying is that there are over 2000 reports saying close to the same thing all produced within 50-100 years of Jesus's death and resurection. Now, maybe I'm wrong, but when 2000 people witness a man being nailed to a cross and see that he's quite completely dead, stuck in his side with a spear and buried, then 3 days later see the same man walking the earth, alive as you or me with his wounds stil visible, it's kind of hard to attribute it to slieght of hand. By historian's standards, that is irrefutable proof that Jesus was and still is what the Bible said he is.

Not all of those many versions of Jesus tell him as a wholy figure. Jesus probably lived at one point, but that doesn't mean that someone's account of him means there is a god or any of the other stuff that the bible predicts.

why do people that dont beleive in the bible have to automatically hate everything about religion and constantly knock it. they way i see it is if you dont beleive in religion and it hasnt hurt you you should have to hate it just igknowledge other people beleve in it and you dont

The tweakhead who wrote the bible had no idea how to explain life....i can understand if you think about it how does life begin? so all the ideas go to some dead guy in the clouds. I can see how this is helpful in life...but seriously you have one life so fuck it ...get high, fuck prayin and ski and have as much as you can because any day can be your last day....and NO ONE knows whats after death so live life to your fullest and do drugs, drink beer, drill girls in every hole and dont waste precious time to the gay bible...........i admit i pray before i go huge.....it kinda gives ya hope but i know the damn praying doesnt work...but when you stick that rad trick you believe that praying does work

You do your thing, I'll do mine. We'll see what happens when we die. It'll be an experiment of sorts :) But to be honest, you don't make an educated point anywhere in the above post. For example you suggest that one man wrote the bible.

At the very least the bible stops me from getting the STDs (Thats Sexually Transmitted Diseases kids), the mental problems, the liver problems and the emotional problems that the lifestyle you suggest CAN cause. Euch, gentile warts...

sorry i didnt say that right, i meant that i dont accept everything it says, i dont really think that there is a god, but i do not rule out the possibility, and i dont think that if there is a god that jesus the nazorean was his son, but i also dont rule out that possibility, so basically i dont beleive the main idea behind it, because it just sais that theres a 'right' way to live, and if you dont live this way then your wrong, i am pretty strongly rooted against this idea

my reasons why i don't like young 'hardcore' christians like helmut
-I don't like their stance on evolution and how they call Darwin an idiot when he was actually very humble about his theory and was a very smart naturalist

-I hate their faggy punk bands
-I hate their faggy t shirts they wear that they think look cool
-I hate how they're so intense about their beliefs to others who choose not to
-I dislike how Christians think this life is all shitty and the good stuff comes later (why not live now in a life you know is real)
If not for all the fagginess and intensity i might actually become a member of the faith

dude I'm a christian and you're completely right about some beings sheltered people. a lot of young christians (physically, mentally and spiritually) go out and make a lot of noise and while their intentions are good, their methods aren't. I'm not a believer in forcing my beliefs. I simply follow Jesus and his apostles's teachings. that's it. When I ski a 30 inch powder day, I thank God for the ability to ski and the snow. I also pray over the day, for safety....when we pray, no one gets hurt. we go big too...my roommate tried a double backflip, popped too early, hit his head on the kicker, then flew 10 feet and smacked his head on a tree, bent the tree, and was out cold for 20 seconds....he ended up with a very minor concussion. doctor said that he should have head trauma

i always say prayers for my brother before he goes into big stuff, he is really crazy when it comes to skiing, and it scares me. but i pray to Jesus and have a relationship with Him off the slopes too, so it's not an emergency only thing... it's more all the time.
