Iv had similar experience, but on a smaller scale on MY invaders (06 camo ones), But my dryslope locale is Dendex.
I cleaned mine up, and made sure there were no burrs, scuffs on the inside, or outside edges of the ski, then i just gently dripped some p-tex into the offending gap/lift area.
After that had settled, i re-heated, and topped up the area once again, scraped, and then waxed. As of then, i used them for my full season in corch', and i never p-texed once while i was there, only a good helping of standard waxing.
since i've been back, i've hit the dentex 3 times.. and so far there has been no lifting of any sort.
i think just making sure that you have applied a good section of p-tex to fill the offender, you should be ok, as long as you dont rush, and try to treat them with care, without letting that core get wet.
:) give us a shout if you find out anything else!
