Wachusett

so I live in Rhode Island and I am kinda strapped for cash. Wachusett's pass is under 300 while loon and waterville are both over 700, same with all the vt mtns. Plus Wachusett would be 1 1/2 hours and VT/NH would easily be three. They have night skiing and a decent park but no verticle and from what i hear no tree skiing. So do I save the 400 and make the occasional trip up to Jay or somewhere with a lot of snow, or just bite the bullet and get a pass to loon. O yea and i work full time so it would definitely be only a weekend thing, but like i said wawa has night skiing and could go up there after work on occasion.

Any help is appreciated

i went to college for a year in providence, only time i did any good skiing was on weekends back home in NH, my advice is take trips up north to places like gunstock, loon, or maybe even crotchet for like the weekend or something living in RI and being a skier suck.....best of luck haha

i am in gansett and i buy the new england pass (like $350 for college students), which includes loon, sunday river, and sugarloaf. i go to those mountains all the time, but i also make a couple trips to mount snow and random central/northern vt mountains. the mountains down here aren't really worth the money unless you go on monday night discount night or some shit like that.

i have a college 4dom pass to waterville, cannon, bretton woods, and cranmore and i got it for $250, prob the best deal if ur comming to nh, u get a ton of laps on the wv park. my buddy lived in ri before college and he would always drive up to waterville, he said it was worth it. and i ahve another friend who lives at wawa, but last season would always drive up to waterville to ski. as far as night skiing goes, bretton woods, and cranmore have it on the 4dom pass, and cannon has some very nice steeps and tree skiing. do the drive

Wawa is always a good time until the park gets chewed out at like 1:30.....

Spend the extra cash on a real mtn. Wah has a "decent" park, and that's it. Def spend your weekends up at Jay, or get a Mt Snow pass.

I live in RI and i get the 4-NH pass and a wachusett pass all the time, but i find myself always using the 4-NH pass over my wachusett unless im lazy and not up for a drive to NH since waterville and the other 3 are much better then wachusett

get a part time job

get a wa pass... ride there as often as you can (even if driving 1.5 hours means only a couple of skiing hours)   go there as often as you possibly can.

use your part time job money to go to NH and VT from time to time because its so far away... how often do you really think you;re going to ski?

with your new found super hero abilities from skiing 5 days a week at wachusset... your nh and vt trips will be more worthwhile. 

that from someone who lives in Connecticut and has almost my whole life. (except for 5 years of  Stowe, VT which is just silly fun)

wawa gets raped at about 1:00- 7:00 when everyone from worcester and boston go there, even on the wekdays, but its like a dirty old hooker,
you hate it but its all you can afford.

not sure what your schedule is like, but wachusett on weekdays until about 2 is awesome. empty park and the landings stay perfectly groomed.
