Not a fan of the editing, I actually want to watch the amazing skiing, not be jerked around a million different clips. Pretty annoying really. I like to see take off, style, and a stomped landing.

ARE YOU RETARDED?

PBP did not make IDEA, it was made by Eric Iberg, featuring Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, and Andy Mahre + some friends. So like 2/3's of IDEA is Pep and Andy's segment.

Also, that edit did not come out of IDEA, because IDEA was set to an original h-Mob (Chris Stolz, aka tired eyes) soundtrack, some of it with original Cali-P lyrics. Not to mention that few of those clips were right next to each other in IDEA. That was likely Andy and Pep's segment from another PBP movie, made with footage shot for IDEA by the skiers who would over the next year found Nimbus Independent, and Eric Iberg.

Geesh, get your facts down before you post dumb stuff.


But hey, the skiing is sublime.

I know that, but that particular edit was not in IDEA, as the op claimed. And I know PBP supports Nimbus, but I also know that Nimbus's movies are made by Nimbus and distributed/hyped up/helped out a bit by PBP, and not the other way around.

DAMN!!!! I was trying to get people stoked with rocker and park and this is what I get. Its one of my favorite edits / trailers/ segments/ remixes. We're almost there guys, there is now need to throw out unnecessary hate.

actually you cock juggling thunder cunt, YOU are wrong. PBP produced idea. iberg and i believe pollard directed it. iberg filmed it. but it was produced by PBP. hence why you could buy it from PBP's website. this was one of their winter edits like they do every year, to try and sell more movies over the holidays. they often do one for their movie as well, along with theory 3's when they were still making movies. hence the christmas music at the beginning. its a re edit, so they didnt use hmob tunes.

Look. My point was, that edit was not in Idea. I do agree it was sick footage, but I liked it better the way it was in idea. Sorry for turning the thread into a poop-flinging hate fest.

it was all footage from idea, and it was for selling idea. therefore the edit was from idea. i think everyone was quite clear it was not a direct part from the movie, what with the snowflake intro and all

we're arguing a moot point right now. It was footage from idea, it was to sell idea. But it was not Pep and Andy's segment in Idea, as the op says it was, thus it wasn't from Idea. The footage was in idea, the edit wasn't. And, I'm looking at the box for idea as I type this, it does say

"Poor Boys Productions
IDEA
an Eric Iberg film"

so that makes everyone in this discussion right. Also, I don't believe that edit was even in the bonus features of Idea, so you can't say it was "from Idea".

Correct me if I'm mistaken.

IDEA is still my favorite movie till this day. I still love Nimbus movies and I own all the films and watch all the webisodes. If Contrast were up for pre-order that would have been the first movie I bought. I am pretty sure that Refresh will be in my mailbox tomorrow, so I will be comparing Refresh to Contrast. I have a feeling, I will still like Contrast more.

/facepalm. it says pep and andy in idea. that footage was all in idea. therefore that footage would be pep and andy in idea. it certainly wasnt their part from idea, but he doesnt say that.

Yeah, that bit was me being an asshole. Sorry about that. Also, my bad on misconstruing the op's words. Whatever it's a sick edit, with sick footage, sick skiers, and nice editing. Everybody has their dumb days, this was mine, especially with trying to put the dumb on the op. Excuse me if you're perfect, I'll gladly step aside if you are.

Idea is a great movie, I think I was just pissed that someone had misrepresented (or so I thought) the movie that made me aware of the ski movie industry outside of WME (glad about that) and got me so stoked on skiing that it became the most important part of my life.
