whoever said this is a dumbass. u cant have a planned date 2 weeks in advance unless your in a place where every year you are garenteed snow at the time. rule for opening is atleast 2 days of snowmaking which means a temp of 28F and less than 30% humidity.

huge storm comming late this week into the early weekend. biggest in years. will be rain or snow depending on temps. theyre saying rain but a few degrees cooller can make it snow. 1-3inches of rain possible so 3-6 inches of snow?

One inch of rain is equal to about 6-9 inches of snow in the midwest. When you get out west, on inch of rain can easily be 12+ inches of snow in the mtns.

November 6th target opening with Exhibition and the beginner park:-)

The most segregated hill in the midwest plans to get discriminatory the first night!

Now let's hope mother-nature is listening. They do not plan to make snow at all during the days peak energy periods to save money so it probably needs to be cold for 2-3 nights for them to get the runs open.

i emailed steve voss and he said that they blew some snow last night and will continue to blow when the weather will let them. he also said that they are shooting to open friday december 4th.

Sunburst sucks when it comes to opening. Tyron Basin is all ready open, and its south of Sunburst, by like an hour. Sunburst should just open a little section of rails or something. I WANT TO SKI!!!!!!!

stop the bitching they will open when it gets cold enough. Tyrol is different they are in a valley where it is normal a couple degrees colder at the bottom which is why they only had area open to hick this weekend.

just got back from today.

Park:
Flat Box on top
2 flat rails
corrugated pipe
small flat box
handrail
table

the handrail was really fun! and it was empty this morning and the park crew actually kept up with the jumps up to the features. unfortunately though the top boxes landing got raped of course, but there were more features this time. it was fun, ill be there tomorrow night.
