Homebrew beer ideas

Vermont Pub and Brewery has a rasberry stout,  they brew the two seperatly, its "mick's handsome irish stout" and part "forbidden fruit"  the two flavors combine for pure deliciousness.  I know this is like my 5th post in this thread but has anyone tried the new Harpoon Leviathan, Big Bohemian Pilsner?  It is crisp and tasty and also boast 9% alcohol.  They have 4 packs at pearl st beverage it is the one with the green writing. (Its also on tap right now at the Scuffer on church st.)

Did a little research and I found out that Vermont is a tiny state and only 18 breweries. Its population is about the same as Denver. Also Denver has the highest production per capita and the second highest number of breweries. Also the Mayor of Denver owns several breweries. So by deduction Denver is the the nexus of beer in the country. Also Colorado leads the nation in beer production and has the second most total breweries at 96.

Your move Vermont.

Also the Great American Beer Festival is this weekend in Denver anyone going Friday night? Can you also list some good breweries from Vermont I should check out? They have it laid out by region so should be easy to find.

According to the map i posted they have 21+ breweries and 1 brewery for every 32,698 people.  Their is a brewfest in burlington every year that is awesome because some of these breweries only make 2-3 types of beers but they bring specialty beers to the festival.  My brother lives in Denver and you do have some pretty good beers there, i think my favorite was fat tire.
As far as breweries here you should def check out the alchemist on the way to sugarbush, their beers are potent, vermont pub and brewery is the oldest craft brewery in vermont that has won several international medals, and makes a fantatstic meatloaf.  Harpoon headquarters is in Boston but they have a brewery in VT as well.  Their seasonal selctions are always good.  In burlington alone their is VT pub and Brewery, 3 needs, switchback(only offered in keg 5.6% alc unfiltered) magic hat(south burlington) and American Flatbread (zero gravity beer and wood fired pizza)

I'm yet to do a homebrew, but my dad owns and runs a small brewery in northeastern PA and I was fortunate enough to work there for a summer. His operation is so small that there are some homebrewers who are running a bigger system than him but aren't doing it for retail. At the moment we're brewing 2 barrel batches at a time, and have a full service pub and biergarten that are pretty busy 6 days a week. I think they're brewing 2 batches a day so it is very hustle bustle to get things done to keep the stock up. One of our biggest hits was a peach wheat beer that we fermented fresh peaches for about 6 weeks into our hefeweizen, but something that you can do much easier with a wheat beer is to add a splash of apple cider. i wasn't a fan, but when I bartended we sold a shitload of that. I'm at school now so I'm not around but I'm hoping to start brewing with them next summer which is pretty exciting. I love talking to homebrewers though because they all appreciate the "art" of making beer which a lot of people don't when they're out there drinking shitty macrobeers produced in huge quantities with the same exact flavor every time.

Oh and a little fun fact for all you Vermonters. I came into work one day and my dad was talking to the man who was hired by the Von Trap family to be the brewmaster at their new brewery. I guess they're trying to appeal to the younger crowd by opening up a brewery at their resort. Not sure what the definite plan is but the guy didn't know how to brew lagers so my dad was teaching him the run down.
